This CONSERVATIVE ALERT prepared for William Vance:
ISSUE: Leave it to bureaucrats to try and mess up another
important American institution. This time, it's the Oath
of Allegiance to the United States.
Parts of the current Oath of Allegiance, which is taken
by immigrants at citizenship ceremonies, date back to
1790. The Oath of Allegiance was adopted into federal
regulation in 1929 and took its present form in the 1950s.
The contents of the Oath are not specified by law, so it
can currently be changed without the approval of Congress.
The Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (BCIS)
proposed changes to the Oath of Allegiance that were to
take effect on September 17, 2003, which is citizenship
day and the anniversary of the signing of the Constitution.
Fortunately, as a result of much public backlash, the
BCIS postponed the enactment of these changes.
The proposed changes to the Oath substantially weaken the
charge to uphold and be faithful to the Constitution and
the laws of the United States. As we continue to welcome
legal immigrants to our country and fight the war on
terror, we need a forceful and uncompromising Oath of
Allegiance.
In response, Congressman Jim Ryun (R-KS) and Senator Lamar
Alexander (R-TN) recently introduced legislation (HR 3191
and S 1628) that would establish the current Oath of
Allegiance as federal law, and give it the same protection
as the American Flag, Pledge of Allegiance, and the
National Anthem. We need to urge action on those bills
right away.
ACTION ITEM: In the first five months of this fiscal
year, close to 167,000 immigrants took the oath and were
naturalized as citizens of this country. "It is quite an
oath," Sen. Alexander said. "It has strength. It has clarity.
Sounds like it might have been written by some rowdy
patriots in Philadelphia or Williamsburg."
Surprisingly, Congress has never voted on the content of
this oath. We have left it to federal regulators. It's TIME

ISSUE: Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) recently introduced
legislation to ensure American taxpayers are never forced
to fund United Nations gun control schemes. Several of
Paul's pro-gun colleagues in the House of Representative
have already cosponsored the bill, which prohibits the
use of U.S. tax dollars for any UN measures that would
infringe upon the 2nd Amendment rights of American
citizens.
Paul's bill, entitled the "Right to Keep and Bear Arms
Act" (HR 3125), recognizes that perhaps the greatest
threat to our 2nd Amendment rights comes from global
Bureaucrats. The bill cites several examples of UN
contempt for both American sovereignty and gun rights.
In fact, the United Nations has waged a campaign to
undermine Second Amendment rights in America for more
than a decade. UN Secretary General Kofi Annan has called
on members of the Security Council to address the "easy
availability" of small arms and light weapons, by which
he means all privately owned firearms. In response, the
Security Council released a report calling for a
comprehensive program of worldwide gun control, a report
that admonishes the U.S. and praises the restrictive gun
laws of Red China and France! Meanwhile, this past June
the UN held an anti-gun "Week of Action against Small
Arms" conference.
In fact, French President Jacques Chirac and the
socialist president of Brazil, Luiz Lula da Silva, both
advocate the imposition of a United Nations TAX on
firearms for various utopian purposes.
Paul's legislation aims to halt the trend toward global
gun laws by withdrawing American funding for UN gun
control measures, while reaffirming that the 2nd
Amendment is the law of the land within our borders.
"It's no surprise that UN bureaucrats want to impose gun
control worldwide," Rep. Paul stated. "They don't respect
national sovereignty, and they certainly don't care about
our Constitution. Congress should make it clear that
America will not pay for UN gun control schemes, nor will
we allow the disarming of American citizens."
ACTION ITEM: Ironically, at the same time the United
Nations was working to prohibit Americans from exercising
their Second Amendment rights to defend themselves, the
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms was called to
investigate the illegal possession of submachine guns by
bodyguards to Secretary General of the United Nations
Kofi Annan.
This is ridiculous. Proposals to tax or otherwise limit
rights under the Second Amendment to the United States
Constitution are reprehensible and deserving of

We've known for years that the rank and file police officer supported
the individual right to keep and bear arms.
Politically, however, the rank and file was often neutralized by
commanders and chiefs following the party line, even so far as to stage
phony photo shoots with Clinton to convey the false impression that
police unanimously supported gun bans and registration.

anti-gun zealots such as Sarah Brady and Ted Kennedy have found a new

Personally, I don't want off-duty or retired police to be treated
specially under the law. I want all Americans to have the right to keep
and bear arms whenever *we* choose to, in defense of our selves our
families and our community.
But....
If gun rights people can use the police alienation to undermine the
political bosses -- to publicly contradict these political bosses -- we
remove or emasculate the powerful "demonization" weapon in the gun
grabber's arsenal: The ability to use the Police to demonize guns and

starring Sean Penn and Tim Robbins who have been known to
spew hate speech against our current President, assaulting his
character for doing what he is attempting to do with the war
on terror, to protect Americans from further attack. Which has
been very successful so far. These 2 liberal actors have sided
with Saddam Hussain and Osama Bin Laden and against our own
country, as demonstrated by Penn's going to Iraq prior to the
war in protest of our pending attack to remove the terrorist regime of
Saddam Hussain, saying that we have no right to attack innocent
people and that it was the Bush administration that is starting this
war.
Let us not forget 9/11/2001.
I figure I have no way to let the liberals in Hollywood know that
they are just actors....and not representative of mainstream
America, by myself. But if each one of us route this note to all of
your friends who support our troops and the administration,
and make sure that they do not go to this movie.
Encourage all you know......not to go to it. By doing this.....

The state of Georgia has pulled out of the U.S. Department of Justice
sponsored MATRIX information collection program, leaving data only on
its felons and sexual offenders behind in the Orwellian database.
Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue has cited both privacy concerns and costs
as the two key reasons the state will no longer participate in the
MATRIX (Multistate Anti-Terrorism Information Exchange) pilot project.
The MATRIX database has been billed as a way to keep track of citizens'
information such as their credit histories, marriage and divorce records,
fingerprints and social security numbers. By linking this information
from several states in one, big, intrusive database, law enforcement
officials claim they would be more competent at tracking terrorists and
other nasties.
"The State of Georgia will not transfer any additional information to
the company responsible for the MATRIX project," said Governor Perdue.
"I have held serious concerns about the privacy issues involved with
this project all along, and have decided it is in the best interest of
the people of Georgia that our state have no further participation in
the MATRIX pilot project.
"The criminal, prison, and sexual predator information previously sub-
mitted will remain part of the database. This information is relevant
to the crime fighting purpose of the pilot project, but personal infor-
mation of law-abiding citizens is not. I feel today's decision reflects
a proper balance between fighting crime and respecting the right to
privacy."
The list of states willing to participate in the MATRIX project is
dwindling. Kentucky, Oregon and South Carolina pulled out earlier this
year. Georgia's exit leaves the Party with Alabama, Connecticut, Florida,
Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Utah as guinea pigs. But, hey,
what's wrong with having a little fun at the proles' expense?
The handy life-tracking database idea should sound familiar. DARPA tried
to get some backing for its Total Information Awareness (TIA) program
before being shut down by Congress. It seems, however, that was bit a
mini-bump in the road. Along with TIA and MATRIX, we have NIMD (Novel
Intelligence from Massive Data); CAPPS (Computer Assisted Passenger
Pre-Screening System); HID (Human Identification at a Distance), ARM
(Activity Recognition Monitoring); F.U.K.D (Free the United Kingdom
From Drugs) and B.O.M.B.D (British Opposition to Metabolically Bistur-
bile Drugs); and G.E.F.A.F.W.I.S.P (Global Ensortium For A First World
Iniative On Scientific Practise). Phew, that's a mouthful.
The MATRIX has been toned down since it was first introduced, after some
uppity types like Georgia Rep. Bob Barr questioned the privacy implicat-
ions of such an information collective. But the program does live on and
is managed by Florida-based Seisint, which has a $4 million budget as
its disposal.
Lest you have any concerns that the company may let little bits of your
personal information trickle out onto the Web, we urge you to rest easy
- its MATRIX Web site runs on Windows 2000 and IIS 5.0. This is a secur-
ity conscious outfit to be sure.

all day. They've rated it above X-17, (they had to extend the scale for this
one). Remember, they're talking about seeing the Aurora Borealis in California,
and the possibility of oil pipline ignitions, suppression of radio transmissions

allowed to be established. And it said unto the Church, Yea, hath God
said, Ye shall not receive subsidies from every thing which God allowed
to be established.
2. And the Church said unto the IRS, We may receive the tithes and
offerings of every member of the Church to Meet our needs:
3. But of the 501(c) 3 tax-exempt status which is from the IRS, God hath
said, Ye shall not receive subsidies from it, neither shall ye
incorporate, lest ye die:
4. And the IRS said unto the Church, Ye shall not surely die:
5. For God doth know that in the day ye receive your Corporate status,
that artificial life shall be breathed into your Church by the State,
and your Pastors shall be as smart as God knowing "Public Policy" better
than the Word of God.
6. And when the Church saw that the IRS was able to subsidize it's pet
projects, and that it was the politically correct thing to do, and that
it gained a certain amount of respectability from the world, the Church
took the subsidies, and gave the benefits also to her Pastor with her;
and he did compromise.
7. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they realized that they
were powerless spiritually, and they made excuses, and covered up their
sin:
8. And they heard the Word of the Lord God convicting them in a real
Church: And they tried to hide themselves from the presence of the Lord
God amongst the real Churches and men of God in the world.
9. And the Lord God called unto the Pastor, and said unto him, Where art
thou?
10. And he said, I heard your Word preached in a real Church, and I was
afraid, because I was powerless spiritually; and I hid myself.
11. And he said, Who told thee that thou was powerless spiritually? Hast
thou received subsidies from the IRS, whereof I commanded thee that thou
shouldest not receive?
12. And the Pastor said, The Church whom thou gavest me to Pastor, she
gave me benefits, and I did take them.
13. And the Lord God said unto the Church, What is this that thou hast
done? And the Church said, The IRS tempted us, and we voted to receive
their subsidies.
14. And the Lord God said unto the IRS, Because thou hast done this,
thou art cursed above all institutions, and above every organization in
the world; you are lower than a snakes belly, and shall be cursed every
day of your existence.
15. And I will put division between thee and the true Church, and
between your Corporate Churches and Hers: they shall win in the end, and
yours shall persecute Hers until the rapture.
16. Unto the Corporate Church he said, I will greatly multiply thy
sorrow and thy future ministries, and thy desire shall be to the
Chairman of the Trustee board, and he or she shall rule your Corporate
Church with a Constitution given to it by the State.
17. And unto the Pastor he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the
voice of the Corporate Church, and have received your Tax Exempt Status
from the IRS, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not receive
subsidies of the IRS: cursed is your Corporate Church because of you; in
sorrow shalt thou receive of it's subsidies all the days of thy life;
18. Divisions also and strife shall Corporate Status bring to thee; and
you shall submit to the IRS because of the subsidies you receive from
it:
19. In the days preceding your business meetings shall thou study thy
Constitution, till thou return unto the true Church; for out of it did
you come: for it is a Christian you claim to be, and unto my Church only
should you return.
20. And the pastor called his Corporation, "First Baptist Church, Inc."
because it was the founder of all future Corporate Churches.
21. Unto the pastor also and to his Corporate Church did the Lord God
allow to be established the Christian Law Association, to convince
Churches that it is better to obey the "Public Policy" that it is to
obey the Word of God.
22. And the Lord God said, Behold, the Pastor thinks he is smarter than
us, to know what is good for him and what is not: and now, lest he put
forth his hand, and take over an unregistered Church, and compromise it,
and it remains a Corporation forever:
23. And God sent the Pastor forth from the true Churches, to preside
over his Corporate one which he established.
24. So he drove out the Pastor; and he placed at the pulpit of the real
Church a man of God, with a King James Bible, to keep Jesus Christ as
the Head of His Church.
