3D"Border_=The elite media isn't covering=0D it, so most Americans don't know about it. At least twice this = year the Mexican army=0D crossed the border and fired at US Border Patrol agents.

On March 14, 2000 Mexican=0D military personnel crossed the border and shot at U.S. Border P= atrol agents near Santa=0D Teresa, New Mexico. On October 24, 2000, ten= =0D Mexican military men armed with high-powered rifles with fixed = bayonets crossed the border=0D and attacked U.S. Border Patrol Agents in Copper Canyon, ab= out eight miles East of the=0D Otay Mesa Port of Entry. These acts are acts of war!!!=0D

=0D

What=0D country allows foreign military personnel to cross their border and= shoot at their=0D citizens and government agents without retaliation? Only the United= States!!

=0D

Our rul= ing political class is=0D allowing the Mexican military to attack our citizens and law enforc= ement agents with=0D complete immunity. If a group of U.S. citizens attacked federal law= officers with=0D high-powered military weapons, the ruling political class would sto= p at nothing to catch=0D them and make an example of them. Yet, they allow the Mexican gover= nment to violate our=0D border, and shoot at our citizens, and law officers, without any co= unter strike at all.

=0D

Most Am= ericans don't know what is=0D happening on our southern border. The elite press is not reporting = the violence and the=0D crimes that are rampant there. Nor are they reporting the lack of r= esponse from our=0D political class.

=0D

The U.S= =2E is being invaded by a=0D foreign nation, but we sit idle, and refuse to respond. Our politic= al class sends our=0D military around the world to intrude in the internal politics of ot= her nations, and to=0D protect the borders of other countries, but will not use our milita= ry to protect our own=0D borders from an invasion.=

=0D

Neither= the Republicans, nor the=0D Democrats are speaking out against this violence, or against these = military attacks. Our=0D government leaders are hiding their heads in the sand and ignoring = the problem. Bill=0D Clinton isn't doing anything to protect the nation, and Congress is= silent on the subject.

=0D

It's ti= me for the citizens to demand=0D some action. It's time to ask our Senators and Representatives why = nothing is being done=0D about this invasion. It's time to ask George Bush and Al Gore what = they plan to do about=0D it if they are elected. <= /p>=0D

The onl= y way we are going to put a=0D stop to this is to demand our government take action. The citizens = need to express their=0D outrage and hold the political class accountable. Our military is r= eady to put a stop to=0D this. It is the political class that lacks the will to act.<= font COLOR=3D"#000000" size=3D"3">

=0D

The pri= mary job of the military is=0D defending our borders. Shoring up a communist dictator in Haiti and= taking sides in a=0D civil war in Serbia are not the primary reason our military exists.= Their first=0D responsibility is protecting the U.S. homeland and citizenry.

=0D

If the = Mexican military wants a=0D fight, let's give them one they won't forget. No previous generatio= n of Americans would=0D have stood by and allowed a foreign military to enter the U.S. and = shoot at our citizens=0D and law officers. The guys who won WWII would have never stood for = this. Can our=0D generation sit back and ignore this aggression?

=0D

If we d= o, the Republic is lost.

Silver" Subject: How to be a good Democrat (rebuttal to Ann Richards) Here's the other side's response: HOW TO BE A GOOD DEMOCRAT By Steve Silver 1. You have to believe the nation's economic prosperity was due to the work of Clinton and not the Republican Congress (which actually wrote the budgets), and that the preceding 40 years of Democratic tax-and-spend policies had nothing to do with running up a $6 trillion national debt. 2. You have to believe that when you die, the government has not only the right, but the obligation, to take everything you worked hard for and give it to someone other than your kids. 3. You have to be in favor of all government programs, but still pay lip service to supporting =93individual rights.=94 4. You have to believe that practicing high-risk sexual behavior has nothing to do with transmitting AIDS or other STDs. 5. You also have to believe the government has the right and obligation to regulate what people smoke and eat, but that insurance companies should not be able to raise the premiums of people who engage in high-risk sexual practices. 6. You also have to believe that people who smoke tobacco or eat red meat should suffer the consequences of their actions, but people who engage in wanton or high-risk sex should not. 7. You have to believe that the mere presence of a gun makes an otherwise good person become a vicious murderer. 8. You also have to believe that disarming the victims will somehow reduce violent crime. 9. You have to believe...everything Clinton, Gore, Jesse Jackson and Ted Kennedy say. 10. You have to believe there is no cost to our country or its economy in allowing illegal immigration to continue unchecked. 11. You have to believe it is okay to kill an innocent unborn baby, even in the last trimester via a =93partial birth abortion,=94 but oppose the death penalty for convicted murderers. 12. You have to believe it is not okay to deny a job to a person because of his race if he is black or Hispanic, but it is okay to deny him a job because of his race if he is white. 13. You also have to be willing to ignore the fact that 40 years of affirmative action have done nothing other than lower expectations of minority members...and make Jesse Jackson wealthy. 14. You have to believe it is okay for the government to tell you how to use your own property just because an =93endangered=94 rat or fly was found living on it. 15. You have to oppose prayer in school, then wonder why kids are growing up without any moral compass these days. 16. You also have to oppose voluntary, student-led prayer at school, and still claim to support the First Amendment. 17. You have to believe President Clinton=92s bald-face lies to the American people (=93I did not have sex with that woman...Miss Lewinsky=94), his li= es while under oath, his extra-marital affairs, his sexual harassment of female subordinates (as president and governor of Arkansas), his betrayal of his vows to his wife and daughter, his acceptance of thinly disguised bribes from the Chinese government do not, in any way, affect his credibility when speaking to the American people about living moral lives. 18. You also have to believe that even with his long history of sexually harassing younger, vulnerable female subordinates, he is still =93good on women=92s issues.=94 19. You have to believe Hispanic kids should be taught in Spanish, then wonder why they don=92t do as well in life as Hispanic kids who learn English. 20. You have to oppose teaching abstinence at schools and believe that giving out condoms is okay, but then wonder why there is an astronomically high teen pregnancy rate. 19. You have to believe government bureaucrats in Washington D.C. are somehow better at running your business and life than you are. 20. You must also believe the government should regulate and control private business, even though the Army spent $784 for an $8 wrench. 21. You believe in God and the Bible, you just want to edit out the parts which require you to live a clean, moral life and remain faithful to your spouse. 22. You have to believe that the government=92s incineration of 20 kids and 60 of their parents at Waco was a legitimate use of its police power. 23. You also have to believe the police should be enforcing "no smoking" laws, and that vicious killers should get parole after six years. 24. You have to oppose vouchers because you think the public schools are doing a great job. 25. You have to believe that lowering standards so as to allow a poor, minority student with a disciplinary history and failing grades to get into an elite private school will somehow help that student or make him a better doctor. > > HOW TO BE A GOOD REPUBLICAN > > By Ann Richards (immediate past Governor of Texas) > > > > 1 You have to believe that the nation's current 8-year prosperity was > > due to the work of Ronald Regan and George Bush, but yesterday's gasoline > > prices are all Clinton's fault. > > > > 2 You have to believe that those privileged from birth achieve success > > all on their own. > > > > 3 You have to be against all government programs, but expect Social > > Security checks on time. > > > > 4 You have to believe that AIDS victims deserve their disease, but > > smokers with lung cancer and overweight individuals with heart disease > > don't deserve theirs. > > > > 5 You have to appreciate the power rush that comes with sporting a gun. > > > > 6 You have to believe...everything Rush Limbaugh says. > > > > 7 You have to believe that the agricultural, restaurant, housing and > > hotel industries can survive without immigrant labor. > > > > 8 You have to believe God hates homosexuality, but loves the death > > penalty. > > > > 9 You have to believe society is colorblind and growing up black in > > America doesn't diminish your opportunities, but you still won't vote for > > Alan Keyes. > > > > 10 You have to believe that pollution is OK as long as it makes a > > profit. > > > > 11 You have to believe in prayer in schools, as long as you don't pray > > to Allah or Buddha. > > > > 12 You have to believe Newt Gingrich and Henry Hyde were really faithful > > husbands. > > > > 13 You have to believe speaking a few Spanish phrases makes you > > instantly popular in the barrio. > > > > 14 You have to believe that only your own teenagers are still virgins. > > > > 15 You have to be against government interference in business, until > > your oil company, corporations or Savings and Loan is about to go broke > > and you beg for a government bail out. > > > > 16 You love Jesus and Jesus loves you and, by the way, Jesus shares your > > hatred for AIDS victims, homosexuals, and President Clinton. > > > > 17 You have to believe government has nothing to do with providing > > police protection, national defense, and building roads. > > > > 18 You have to believe a poor, minority student with a disciplinary > > history and failing grades will be admitted into an elite private school > > with a $1,000 voucher. > - - ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 2 Nov 00 23:16:20 PST From: roc@xpresso.seaslug.org (Bill Vance) Subject: Gettysburg Address 2000 (fwd) On Nov 2, charmuth@aol.com wrote: [-------------------- text of forwarded message follows --------------------] Chuck Muth's "Gettysburg Address 2000" (With all due respect and apologies to Honest Abe) November 2, 2000 Four score and seven years ago (that would be 1913 for those of you who went to public school) our forefathers' misguided descendants brought forth on this continent via the 16th Amendment to the Constitution, a new income tax system, conceived in stupidity, and dedicated to the proposition that all men and women are created equal when it comes to getting screwed by the federal government and the IRS ... except for the "richest 1 percent," of course. Now we are engaged in a great war, testing whether that tax system, or any tax system so complicated and so burdensome, can long endure. We meet this election on a great battlefield of that war - the ballot box. We dedicate a portion of this election to those candidates who risked their political careers that tax relief and tax reform might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this. But in a larger sense, we can not dedicate - we can not consecrate - we can not hallow - this election. The brave men and women, living and dead, who struggled for an end to the marriage penalty and the death tax - who have fought for a flat tax or national sales tax - have consecrated it far above our poor power to itemize deductions or claim the Investment Tax Credit. The world will little note, nor long remember what Al Gore has said about targeted tax relief for the "right people," but it will never forget that he was the tie-breaking vote for the largest tax increase in the history of the world. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work of across-the-board tax cuts and tax simplification which they who fought in the halls of Congress have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us - that from all those vetoed tax cuts by Bill Clinton we take increased devotion to that cause for which many Republicans gave the last full measure of devotion - that we here highly resolve that these dead tax cut bills shall not have died in vain - that this nation, under God (uh-oh, here comes the ACLU!) and a newly-elected President George W. Bush, shall have a new birth of freedom - - and that this income tax system of the bureaucrat, by the bureaucrat, for the bureaucrat, shall perish from the earth, with a stake driven through its heart so that it shall never rise to prey upon and terrorize the American taxpayer again (with all due credit to Steve Forbes). Margi Article: Doctor's Group Opposes Vaccine Mandates http://www.healthmall.com/newsletter.cfm A leading national physician organization is calling for a moratorium on all government mandated vaccines and has passed a resolution to that end at their annual meeting. Members of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) voted this week at their 57th Annual Meeting in St. Louis to pass a resolution calling for an end to mandatory childhood vaccines. The resolution passed without a single "no" vote. (Resolution and mandatory vaccine fact sheet posted at www.aapsonline.org) "Our children face the possibility of death or serious long-term adverse effects from mandated vaccines that arenīt necessary or that have very limited benefits," said Jane M. Orient, MD, AAPS Executive Director. "This is not a vote against vaccines," said Dr. Orient. "This resolution only attempts to halt blanket vaccine mandates by government agencies and school districts that give no consideration for the rights of the parents or the individual medical condition of the child." Forty-two states have mandatory vaccine policies, and many children are required to have 22 shots before first grade. On top of that, as a condition for school attendance, many school districts require vaccination for diseases such as hepatitis B -- primarily an adult disease, usually spread by multiple sex partners, drug abuse or an occupation with exposure to blood. And yet, children under the age of 14 are three times more likely to suffer adverse effects -- including death -- following the hepatitis b vaccine than to catch the disease itself. Just last week, students in Utica, NY were sent home from school, and told they could not return until they had been forced to receive hep B vaccinations. Further, parents were threatened by Child Protective Services with possible seizure of their children based on "education neglect." "Itīs obscene to threaten to seize a child just because his parents refuse medical treatment that is obviously unnecessary and perhaps even dangerous," said Dr. Orient. "This treaty doesn't attack crime," he said. "Instead, it attacks privacy, the Fifth Amendment, and certain kinds of software -- while giving the government awesome new powers to cybersnoop on innocent Americans." The so-called "Draft Convention On Cybercrime" -- the first international computer crime agreement -- is currently being negotiated by the United States and the 41-nation Council of Europe. The treaty, which went through 19 drafts before the Justice Department revealed its existence earlier this year, could be finalized as soon as December, reported Wired.com. However, the U.S. Senate, which must approve all international treaties, should reject it outright, said Browne. "This treaty is just the latest example of politicians trying to prove they are tough on crime," he said. "As usual, they want to give bureaucrats and law enforcement new powers to appear to be fighting crime. And, as usual, it is innocent Americans who will bear the brunt of these new police powers." For example, the treaty would: * Give law enforcement the power to order Americans to reveal a computer password or encryption key -- in apparent violation of the Fifth Amendment's protection against self- incrimination. * Require Internet service providers (ISPs) to conduct real-time surveillance of customers' e-mail messages, at government request. In July, the FBI admitted it had already created a cybersnooping device code-named "Carnivore" that could scan millions of e-mails a second. * Effectively abolish anonymous e-mail by requiring "remailer" websites (which automatically distribute messages after stripping out the sender's name and return address) to collect information about their users. * Require ISPs to store at least 40 days worth of customer data, including e-mails, chat-room transcripts, and website visits, for possible review by the government. * Make illegal certain kinds of common software -- including network security utilities used by computer technicians -- on the grounds that it could be criminally misused by hackers. Although some of those provisions may be dropped in negotiations, Justice Department officials have privately said it is too late to make "major" changes to the treaty, according to the Wall Street Journal. That's why the U.S. Senate should reject the entire document, said Browne. "This treaty was negotiated in secret, with the approval of the same politicians who supported the Communications Decency Act, Know Your Customer, anti-encryption laws, the FBI's Carnivore system, the Clipper Chip, and innumerable other attacks on your privacy," he said. "And this treaty may be even worse than those previous anti-privacy initiatives because it globalizes the government's power to spy on you. "If the U.S. Senate cares about privacy, the civil liberties guaranteed in the Bill of Rights, and the Constitutional limitations on government, it will unanimously reject this Draft Convention On Cybercrime." But for individual Americans concerned about privacy, the problem is bigger than this one treaty, said Browne. "Unfortunately, stopping this treaty won't stop the relentless attacks on your civil liberties, because the same Republican and Democratic politicians will remain in power," he said. "Neither of those parties is dedicated to preserving an airtight individual right to privacy. Only the Libertarian Party is." That's why your vote on November 7 may be the most powerful pro-privacy statement you can make, said Browne. "Libertarians understand that we can't stop government snooping by fighting every new intrusion on your privacy," he said. "Our opponents will win too many of those battles, and government will get more and more intrusive. "Instead, we must fight to take completely away from government the power to enter any area of your life for which it has no explicit Constitutional authority. And the only way to accomplish that is by voting Libertarian." =============================================================== DefendYourPrivacy.com http://www.lp.org =============================================================== [------------------------- end of forwarded message ------------------------] - -- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- RKBA! ***** Blessings On Thee, Oh Israel! ***** RKBA! - ----------------+----------+--------------------------+--------------------- An _EFFECTIVE_ | Insured | All matter is vibration. | Let he who hath no weapon in every | by COLT; | -- Max Plank | weapon sell his hand = Freedom | DIAL | In the beginning was the | garment and buy a on every side! | 1911-A1. | word. -- The Bible | sword.--Jesus Christ - ----------------+----------+--------------------------+--------------------- Constitutional Government is dead, LONG LIVE THE CONSTITUTION!!!!! - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 4 Nov 00 12:56:13 PST From: roc@xpresso.seaslug.org (Bill Vance) Subject: Michael New Update (fwd) On Nov 4, Steve Moser wrote: [-------------------- text of forwarded message follows --------------------] - ----- Original Message ----- From: Joe Sager To: smoser@hsonline.net Sent: Wednesday, November 01, 2000 12:17 AM Subject: Michael New Update MICHAEL NEW UPDATE November/December 2000 CAAF - We enter now the nine month anniversary since the Court of Appeals of the Armed Forces heard oral arguments on the appeal of Spc.
