It's colorful nonsense to hear people claim the American Indian didn't understand the concept of land ownership. examples of this are the Sioux Nation that migrated out of South Carolina in very early colonial times, made it to t= he Black Hills of South Dakota and promptly killed off or ran off the tribes already living there so it could be claimed for themselves. Then there's = the Cherokee Nation that tried to kill all their chiefs for signing a bad lan= d contact in 1835. Evidently they understood land very well. Big-Citydweller-Chicken-Littles spend years on concrete mealy-mouthing an= d carping about the lack of land in a country that spans more than two thousand miles long and eight hundred miles wide as if the populace were = all crowded shoulder to shoulder from sea to shining sea. Nothing could be further from the truth, they should take a drive across this beautiful la= nd some time. The truth is they're looking for the gift of America without giving gifts of themselves and it's in the gifts of ourselves that Americ= an people shine. Today the socialists under the guise of humanism work hard to discredit Christian religion and the beliefs in God that flow naturally from christianity. They do this to strike at the very heart of America. Our Constitution rests firmly on the belief in rights given by God. A few learned scholars have presumptuously and foolishly opined the Founding Fathers were Deists and that's so much hogwash laughter should follow any such pronouncement. To believe in Deism you must first believe in God, th= en believe that God has abandoned and forsaken you. Those are the criteria. Believing in Reason alone isn't enough to claim Deism status. Every president elected in this country has mentioned not only the blessi= ngs bestowed upon this country by God, but invoked God's grace to continue th= ose blessings. The Founding Fathers in their proposals, drafts, versions of clauses during their Conventions mentioned God and Religion in the Establishment & Free Exercise Clauses about one hundred and forty-four times. Why did they do it? To protect religion and free exercise within t= he bounds of it's colonies is why. These are not the efforts of men believin= g their God had abandoned them and was dead. If I started placing into this text all the comments from great American statesmen asking for God to gra= ce this country or extolling the beneficence of God on our land this article would expand to lengths that would tire the best reader. I'm sorry about their God but mine is alive and well. Tolerance is another issue. The socialists throw the word around trying t= o change the definition of it. The definition is of two equal constructs. T= he first is; the capacity for or the practice of recognizing and respecting = the religious beliefs of others. This is freedom of religion in it's purist f= orm and it's practiced daily by millions of folks in this country. The second construct is the one currently being used as a cheap hammer. It is; leewa= y for variation from a standard. Principles are a standard. If a person has principles based on western cultures of goodness then convictions rationally follow, and from those integrity is born as one follows the dictates of good conscience. Followi= ng the dictates of your conscience is not intolerance as some people would h= ave us believe. The best example of this are those people of a sexual predilection who demand respect for their sexual practices while throwing the subject onto the poker table of political speech then demand that speaking of it violates their right somewhere? They are violating my principles of conscience as well as violating my first amendment rights o= n political speech which are very much protected. "Leeway from variation of= a standard," implies agreement by both the standard bearer and the variator. If there is no agreement there is no tolerance and the standard remains a= s it was. Let us hold fast to our understanding that there can be no men of good conscience, no natural rights from God, and no America the Free without religion. Our Lady Liberty in New York stands upon broken chains of injustice. Without religion there is no justice. It's time for this great barbarian to rest his pen. Daley and his elite "CAGE" unit are apparently taking advantage of gun privacy loopholes to pinpoint certain individuals for inclusion in the confiscation program. The ISRA is following up on leads in one case that has distrubing implications. An elderly first-generation Chicago resident was recently paid a visit by an Illinois State Police trooper. After asking to come inside the man's home, the trooper asked if the man owned a gun - to which he replied yes. The trooper then directed the individual to surrender the firearm. The man complied with the officer's demand and the trooper left with the gun. And the story gets better... The gun in question was purchased legally by the man in the 1970s shortly after he became a U.S. citizen. When Chicago's infamous gun registration scheme went into effect in the early 1980s, the man registered the firearm as per the requirement. However, over the years, the fellow apparenlty forgot to re-register the firearm, and forgot to renew his Illinois FOID Card. So...what does this all mean? In the last edition of The Illinois Shooter, we reported on the activities of a shady taskforce known as the Chicago Anti Gun Efforcement (CAGE) unit. This elite squad, operated jointly by the Illinois State Police, the Chicago Police Department, and the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, supposedly exists to identify illegal gunrunners. However, information gained by the ISRA makes it clear that the CAGE unit is targeting law-abiding citizens, not criminal gunrunners. Thanks to a ruling by a liberal federal judge, the CAGE unit now has the name of every single person in the United States who, since 1992, lawfully purchased more than one handgun in the period of a week. The CAGE unit also has all the makes, models and serial numbers of those guns. In essence, the Chicago Police Department is now registering guns and gun owners nationwide. The ISRA has also learned that the CAGE unit has compiled a list of families where more than one person in that family holds a FOID card. Acting on that information, the CAGE unit is now contacting gun shops where those families have shopped, and is illegally registering all guns purchased by those families. Now, it appears that the CAGE unit is scrubbing Chicago's gun registration list against the list of FOID card holders. Indications are that folks who have let their registrations and FOIDs lapse will have their guns confiscated. We have to wonder how long it will be until state troopers show up at the doors to confiscate the guns of non-Chicago residents who have let their FOIDs expire. Currently there are 50-60 people gathered outside of the headgates standing vigil over the dozen farmers who now have blocked the entrance to the open gates. To ease their apprehension, they are laughing and singing christian songs. The mood was much different several hours earlier when the local sheriff confronted the federal marshalls. First the local sheriff, politely requested the protesters to stand on city property that lies outside of the fence, and is off of federal land. Because the sheriff is actively supporting his constituents, he is receiving tremendous support from the people. After the protesters complied, he then told the U.S. Marshalls to leave. After a heated confrontation, the Marshalls left. As of this time, there is no law enforcement - state or federal - on the scene. So the scene is: a dozen farmers, willing to go to jail if that's what it comes down to, are blocking the entrance to the headgates with 50-60 supporters gathered around them. Some local farm groups have distanced themselves from the current situation because of "outside agitators". As a result, there is a chance these groups will lose control of the message. Further, if the groups that are supposed to stand up for the farmers don't show up tonite, they could lose the message entirely. One of the McDonald managers was heard telling the feds that he had the right to refuse service to people that were against America. The feds quietly left with no food. The Council of the European Union, which represents the 15 member governments, will discuss implementing a policy originally designed with the FBI six years ago. It calls for the retention of "every phone call, every mobile phone call, every fax, every e-mail, every website's contents, all internet usage, from anywhere, by everyone, to be recorded, archived and be accessible for at least seven years," notes the journal. The proposal gives law enforcement agencies powers far beyond authorised, approved interceptions. Existing provisions permit data to be retained for the length of the billing period, up to 90 days. The proposals are being rushed in front of the European Commission before the European Parliament can agree on a common privacy position in June. The Parliament is already working on personal privacy legislation, and bouncing the other two European institutions now is the Eurocops' best chance of putting their draconian provisions into place. Anonymity is bad for business Last November, the Council's Working Party on Police Co-operation put its case succinctly: "It is impossible for investigation services to know in advance which traffic data will prove useful in a criminal investigation. The only effective national legislative measure would therefore be to prohibit the erasure or anonymity of traffic data." The European Commission's Justice and Home Affairs Council will debate the proposal on May 28. The law enforcement agencies, argues the proposal, must have access to "user addresses, equipment identities, user name/passwords, port identities, mail addresses etc." The agencies are also to be provided with "the full name of the person (company), the residential address and credit card details." The Council's proposal takes its cue from UK law enforcement body NCIS (National Criminal Intelligence Service), which last year proposed that telcos and ISPs store data for one year for 'real-time monitoring' purposes, after which the data would be archived for seven more years in a gigantic new data warehouse. This paragraph in the NCIS document justifies the demands: "The Police Service is now in its third major era ... and is now a directed patrolling, proactive and reactive investigation service," notes the document. "The Crime and Disorder Act empowers ... the national law enforcement bodies in appropriate intrusive data collection in their central role. The lack of appropriate legislation on communications data retention does not sit happily with this strategic direction." [our emphasis] A gallery of baddies, ranging from organised crime to the authors of the Melissa and I Love You viruses, are evoked to justify the draconian new approach to Lauren Order. In the looking-glass world of law enforcement, the cops and spooks argue that long-term data retention actually boosts the public's faith in e-commerce: "The obligation for operators to erase and make traffic data anonymous, besides obstructing seriously crime investigations, also can lead to a decreasing confidence in, particularly, the electronic commerce..." according to the leaked document. The EU's own privacy watchdogs - regularly criticised for the opt-outs provided to law enforcement agencies - have condemned the move. The International Working Group on Data Protection in Telecommunications deems the storing of data on all telecommunications and Internet traffic for extended periods "disproportionate and therefore unacceptable." Even the Council's own documents accept that the cops' demands "would probably not be considered proportionate."
