"So where does this leave us?" asks the modern postman, his bag still
heavy with undelivered mail.  Have the real Justified Ancients Of Mu Mu
slipped unseen from our here and now into some other reality to create 
havoc and intrigue, leaving Jimmy Cauty and Bill Drummond to ponder on 
the footnote in rock legend that is their legacy?  Were Rockman Rock
and King Boy D ultra beings that took over the lives and bodies of
Cauty and Drummond and have now scarpered, discarding the mortal flesh
to return to the higher plains of mystical reality?  And what happened
to "Footnotes in rock legend"?  Do they gather dust with Ashton Gardner
and Dyke, the Vapours, and the Utah Saints, or does their influence
live on in unseen ways, permeating future cultures?

A passing general of a private army has the answer.  "No", he whispers
"but the dust they gather is of the rarest quality.  Each speck a 
universe awaiting creation, Big Bang just a dawn away".

A  wry smile spreads across the modern postman's face.  This is the answer 
he maybe wanted to hear.  He pulls a buff manila from his bag.  Imagines
it into a paisley-patterned invite to a celestial party in the post life,
then drops it through a sleeping letter box.  He walks on.  His bag that 
little bit lighter.  His step that little bit jauntier.

And what of the General?  He takes command of his army while day-dreaming
of Monty at Alamamaine of Kirk with "No Man" at "Gone Before" and of
storming Stonehenge with an army of Crusties whilst English Heritage
carve turkey on Christmas Day.
