This server was a "special case" and as such didn't follow procedure. CFDS will be called upon the reception of the server app. They will be cross-posted to both sorcery@sorcery.net and ops@sorcery.net. This is due to the fact that sorcery@sorcery.net is not required for admins/IRCops but users are encouraged to give their opinions on new servers. CFDs will last approximately one week. They will go longer should there be significant discussion of the new server. The CFV will be called after the CFD. They will be posted to the sorcery@sorcery.net and ops@sorcery.net so everyone knows the vote is taking place. After the vote has been concluded the individual server votes with any comments from the admins will be posted to the admin@sorcery.net list ONLY. This is so that admins voting no or making comments hurtful to the new server admin will not be seen by the new server admin. In this way bad blood and political fighting can be avoided. The actual result will be posted with the # of servers voting Yes, No and Abstain, but no specifics, to sorcery@ and ops@. This is an official Call For Votes on the server atlantis.sorcery.net adminned by nelgin and TinTin. Each server gets one vote. Servers eligible to vote include: blackmagic _-snake deathstar Raistlin dragon FireMyst hades Hans/Stefan insane TazQ kechara Skandranon mordor Nazgul potato Roddy tardis Kiap This vote will close no sooner than two days from today. While I think Hoopy's bright enough to handle IRCop commands, I think he's also really immature. That's a personal feeling, yeah, but I'd say it affects his ability to handle responsibility. I'm not on sorcery a whole lot, but anyone that would go /squitting servers and /killing other IRCops for the sole purpose of sharing his opinion and creating havoc, regardless of the net, doesn't need to have an O line ANYWHERE, in my opinion (at least, not like public networks. If he wants to make a network of ircds on his machines or whatever, let him, so long as we don't have to see him :P) . Period.
