It was released under Sire/warner and I believe the # is 40133-2. The year was 1991. The mix was labeled "Higher Than the Orb" 4:59. the CD also contains a mix by Jah Wobble. Very great little maxi single. As for other differences in the mixes the Depeche Mode remix of "Happiest Girl" is different. Not much, but different. If any body is interested in either of these mixes contact me for info----ie. mp3 or copy. Better in my opinion, but certainly different. For one thing it's longer. - -- You don't have to swim faster than the shark, just faster than the guy next to you. # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Email majordomo@xmission.com with "info orb" in the message. # Postings must go to orb@xmission.com -- replies go to original sender. # Latest Orb info: http://www.theorb.com/orbulletins.html -- look here first! ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 19 Feb 1998 16:52:30 -0800 (PST) From: Gregor Menasian Subject: (orb) Orb Fans in France Please Read This! Greetings Orb fans in France! (Or orb fans who can get French videotapes - explaination below) I have a lot of rare Orb CDs for trade, and it has come to my attention that a film that I REALLY want to see has ONLY been released in France on video. So if anyone in France would be willing to buy the videotape and mail it to me, I will help you complete your Orb CD collection! Here's a little more info on the film: The film is "Les Matres du Temps" (animated, 1981), directed by Rene Laloux, and there is a French SECAM VHS tape of it released by Polygram Video, price unknown. So if you can get French SECAM videos, please email me back! I thought this would be of interest to a broader audience, so I'm sending this out. It's not often that you can hear The Orb live. http://www.techno.ca/module Although this hasn't been finalized, there will be an attempt made to broadcast the Module event in Toronto live over Real Audio commencing at 10pm EST. If you haven't heard The Orb live yet, then this may give you a chance. Le Petit Orb will be playing, which is a smaller version of The Orb featuring only Alex and Andy. There are a host of other fine locals, and other musicians. Drop in the IRC channel #module on EFNet and you can talk with others who are listening to the broadcast. Grab mIRC from http://www.mirc.com to get an IRC client. If you want to be notified via email prior to the event (handy if you're not in Toronto's time zone), then email mentalfloss@techno.ca with the subject "module" and I'll send a quick one to you. this module contains: Mixmaster Morris, Ninja Tune, Virgin, Mixmag, UK Vapourspace (live), ffrr, NY Yakudo, Traditional Japanese Taiko Drumming Ensemble Spencer Kinsey, aka Gemini, Cajual, chicago A man called warwick, Toronto Eric Downer, Toronto Polyphonic, Toronto Algorithm, Toronto Marcus, Toronto Aria, Toronto Split, Toronto Ali, Toronto Asi, Toronto D..., Toronto There are also video artists.. but not like you guys care. :) c0c0,c0c0,c0c0--- 8080,8080,8080[ Andrew McCallum / Mental Floss - Kosmic Free Music Foundation ] [ Irregular home pages: http://www.io.org/~andrewm/ [ICQ1350079] [ Music album pages: http://www.io.org/~andrewm/greymatter ] [ I traded my paradigms for a paradox.
