Cauty and LX surrounding the recording of 'Space'. This supposedly resulted in Cauty removing all of LX's samples from the album. I am aware of the similarities (and relationship) between the two bands/artists, but still found the likeness uncanny. Can anyone verify or refute this story? Just wondering...please oblige... Here is the info as taken direct from the KLF FAQ. Cauty was also a founder member of 'The Orb' which he left, taking some tracks with him which were released under the name 'Space'. Space album, which was recorded originally as an Orb album by Jimmy and Alex, then they split up and Jimmy kept the master tapes (since they were recording in his house at Trancentral), reworked it, removed Alex's contributions and added some others of his own, finally releasing it on KLF Communications. I think that LX's version probably would have been more like Ultraworld with tons of vocal samples and heavy drum beats. According to an interview that I read/heard somewhere LX still possesses the original version. Don "Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry." D. This should be a great night, for as well as getting a chance to see my band Hex Projekta (I'm sure all Orbheads would like our sound), Alex will be DJing. We also have persuaded Zion Train to leave their retreat in Wales and dish us up some large helpings of digidub. We've also got a couple of Dodgy people (Matthew and Nigel) taking over the room upstairs and doing their thing on the decks. It starts a 9 and goes on through to 4 in the morning and tickets are 8 pounds. All money raised goes to help send Tom, a six year old Autistic boy, to the Options clinic the US. His parents have to raise 17,000 ukpounds to cover the course, accommodation, flights etc etc. I've known Tom all his life, and he's a great kid, full of energy and life. He and his family deserve this chance. So, if you're in the area, come on down and enjoy some good music and help Tom get to the Options clinic.
