Instead, I see ALL the messages at once, and my server doesn't seperate them in chronologically. Anyway, what I was able to decipher was this: Nate had posted that he was trying to obtain LFC before he moved out to Colorado, when he would no longer have access to this list. Apparently he was using his grandfather's email address, which is fine. Anyway, where I THINK I lost track is why people started flaming Nate in the meantime, and THEN started making rude remarks about his grandfather. Personally, I don't care one way or the other if that really WAS his grandfather or not. I have no reason NOT to believe it, but it's irrelevent as far as I'm concerned. What it boils down to is Nate is simply some guy who--like quite a few of us--is looking for a particular cd. Now before everyone starts saying, "But he keeps asking it over and over," let me say--so what? I personally get sick and tired of people asking about MP3s (or whatever they're called) over and over...and I'm sure people get sick of MY questions that I'm sure I've asked a million times before. But that's life. And it's not as if these questions aren't Orb-related. I mean, I could understand if Nate kept asking about how to get the latest cd by Metallica over and over, or if others on the list kept asking about the MP3s of the latest Spice Girls remixes, or what not--but that's NOT the case. Also, I don't think Nate ever "screwed over" anyone on this list. And if he has, *I* certainly never heard about it. Therefore, he's ok in MY book. I just ask that before writing something that could be construed as "aggressive," think about the following: For the most part, we have no idea WHO the person at the other end is. In other words, we don't necessarily know the person's age, nationality, religious beliefs, or other things that could greatly affect how a person acts and reacts. I myself am a Caucasian male, age 27 (soon to be 28), married, of Judeo-Christian heritage, of German, Irish, and Scottish ancestry, who lives in a relatively small city in the northeastern part of the United States. *MY* perspective on the world is going to be VASTLY different from a single Asian female who is 14, of Chinese ancestry, of Buddhist heritage, who is living in the south of France. Hence, were we to communicate with each other, we may say things to each other that may be considered "annonying" or even rude to the other's culture, but we may be totally oblivious to that. Something to think about. We don't have to agree with everything everyone says, and we don't even have to LIKE what anyone else says, but as Kurt Vonnegut said that a fan wrote to him, "Love may fail, but courtesy wil prevail." Well, this song starts playing, and it turns out to be the sample used near the beginning of O.O.B.E. on the UFOrb album--it's that "flute-like' music. I couldn't believe it. Of course, I didn't catch the name of the artist, since they don't announce the artists until the END of the program.... I always thought that it was a monophonic synthesizer that was used in OOBE, but it was that flute. Anyway, it was episode #495, I think, and it was aired near the end of the program. The notation 4:05 Little Fluffy Clouds (seven inch mk 1) ["dance mix mk 1 edit"] means that the release contains the "seven inch mk 1" mix, which is labeled as "dance mix mk 1 edit". That doesn't necessarily imply that both mixes are the same, but in this case they are (or more precisely, as far as thed iscography is concerned, there is no mix that's really called "dance mix mk 1 edit", because every mix that's labeled that is actually the "seven inch mk 1" mix. I have heard the solar youth mix of Perpetual Dawn, and it is the same one on the one disc Ultraworld. It is apparently titled "U.F.Off". That's all the info I have on this. Let's hope that the "best of" includes previously unreleased mixes of the orb's biggest hits (it's nice to dream). In other news, I just completed an Orb trade with Nate Udel and would like to say that it was a pleasure trading with him (although the friggin' u.s. postal service screwed some stuff up).
