Hey, has anyone heard from Nick Daly? We had agreed to a trade several months ago (early March or so). I was to send him a cassette mix of rarities, and he was to send me something in return. He acknowledged receiving the tape I sent...or tapes, actually--I mailed him another shortly thereafter. Problem is, I haven't heard anything from him since.... We both live in the eastern United States (I'm in the northeast, and he's in the southeast), so mail time is (maximum) three days...usually two.... I don't want to say that he burned me--yet. I understand that things get lost in the mail. I understand that a LOT of people on this list are students in high school and college, or have other situations which keep them from upholding their end of the bargain in a timely manner. (I've been saying the same thing to Rachel and Sarah over the week or so! ;-) Incidentally, Sarah--yours were mailed out on Saturday...and I'm still working yours, Rachel....) But at least I try to keep people updated if I'm running late.... Also, I understand that sometimes people have trouble with their email servers, and lose addresses, etc.--this has happened to me more than once.... Hey--and strange as it may seem--I understand that sometimes people might forget, particularly if they're juggling 50 different trades at once.... (And if *I'M* guilty of this, please let me know!) ;-) Again, I'm not willing to say that he's burned me.... And it's not as if I mailed him an original copy of the Aubrey Mixes or anthing--it was only two cassette tape mixes--so I'm not at all angry. But I really *was* looking forward to what I was to receive in our trade.... :-/ Most of all, however, I hope he's alright. Nick, if you are still on this list, and any of the above-mentioned reasons (or something else plausible) apply to you, then I sincerely apologize. Later! Freddy Snakeskin played the track and it was one of those where I pulled over to the side of the road to write down the name of the group and song. I've been Orbed ever since. Someone mentioned the recent tour closing Santa Monica gig by Underworld. What energy from the crowd and group. Wish you could have all been there. Crossing my fingers for a Orb stopover in Southern California this year. Had a little luck a couple of weeks back, found a copy of Pato Banton's 12" "Beams of Light".
