He told me to never again attempt to sell my Orb collection or parts of it ever again. He said; if you're in need of cash ASK ME FIRST! I went bananas when he told me that he was the "Orbvs" High Bidder on eBAY. So now my cash problems are solved and I have my Orb collection intact. That's how nice Brother I have > > PS: I'm really sorry if someone on the list bid on these CD's this was my spare series but anyhow > Some Orb is hard to come by, really sorry about this. I had to get this of my chest. I'm really, really sorry if I made someone angry. DS Hmm...when I bid, I noticed that the high bidder had an email address of something like serge@telia.com...which I found somewhat suspicious, to say the least. When that same bidder ended up winning, and had changed their registered email address to something at Yahoo, I was even more suspicious, and was considering emailing the second place bidder with my concerns about shilling. I'm glad it turned out to be something relatively innocent. ;) let this be a lesson to everyone: Don't even *try* to sell that hard-won Orb collection! The only thing I could think was SACRILEGE! ===>I've said it before, and I'll say it again: *I* will sell *my* copy of Aubrey Mixes for $100 to anyone who wants it (and I'll throw in postage and insurance for free!)! Same goes with the Orbscure Trax, too! ;-) (Translation: I really want to hold on to them, but I am *not* beneath accepting monetary remuneration in exchange for them....) Then again, I'm a pretty sacrilegeous kind of guy, too.... I'm liquidating virtually my entire Edward Gorey collection on Ebay, so why not my Orb collection? Auny Aubrey is not that hard to get. CDNOW has it for $34.95. If this is the same Aunty Aubry that people are paying up to $100 for, then I will sell mine as well, and then reorder a new copy from cdnow. Is there some version out there that I am not aware of thet is actually worth this much? Please inform me, someone. People are paying $100 for Aubrey Mixes: The Ultraworld Excursions, which is a completely different release Aubrey Mixes: The Ultraworld Excursions is a single CD containing remixes of Orb songs, and is long out of print. Auntie Aubrey's Excursions Beyond The Call Of Duty, on the other hand, is a 2-CD set of remixes of other people's songs by the Orb, and is still in print. I purchased a copy of this last year from a major cd retailer, and it had TWO copies of disc #2. So, when I took it back, they offered me an exchange for another item. I told them that I wanted the same thing, but said they were not able to order it, because it was now out of print. I even looked at the computer system myself (MUSE is the name of the system), and sure enough, it said, "No Longer Made." Therefore, it might very well be out of print, but retailers are allowed to sell out their stock, as opposed to having it recalled. I could be wrong. I had assumed that people were refering to "Auntie Aubries Excurtions Beyond The Call Of Duty" when they said "Aubry's Mixes" because the former is such a long title and it is easier to type the latter. I ended up contacing Deviant, who sent me yet another CD2 *sigh*. So I contacted them again, and after a while they managed to dig up a copy of CD1 for me.... this happened about a year ago, though, don't know what's changed since then. They're no longer made but they're still not-so-rare, I still see them every once in a while, and I'm in a sorta dead area for finding this kind of stuff. - --- Jeff In C we had to code our own bugs.
