WHAT on earth is Zorb??? I saw this last night on t.v. here in the U.S. on the Guiness Book of World Records, and some dude in merry olde England just set the zorbing record for both speed and distance. Apparently, the guy gets inside this inflatable...well, ORB, and rolls down hill, SUPPOSEDLY hitting 10 Gs along the way (but wouldn't that be fatal? Any physics majors out there???). This is supposedly a "sport." But I must admit, it looks like a helluva lot of fun. Anyone ever hear of this? And I thought we did all sorts of weird shit here in the U.S.! ;-) I'll be out of the office (starting next Tuesday, December 21) until Januaray 3, 2000, assuming (of course) civilization is still standing...so if I don't post at all next Monday or Tuesday, I wish everyone on this list a happy and safe holiday season! I remember reading the review of /Adventures/ in Melody Maker the week after it came out the the UK ... and, by God, I checked the shelves that minute and of course the album hadn't arrived in the US yet but they did have the compact disco of A Huge Ever Growing Pulsating Brain... which I decided I had to have--even if the music was terrible--just for the title alone.
