The Orb's most recent performance in Vancouver was in 1995 (or was it '94?). During their Orblivion tour, they didn't even have the courtesy to come to Seattle.. Instead, they played a set at lollapalooza in George, Washington, which is about 5-7 hours south of Seattle! Perhaps not too far for Seattle fans, but when you add 3.5 hours from Vancouver to Seattle, 10 hours is just TOO FAR!!! And Vancouverites have fared pretty well, as far as Canada goes.. What about the prarie cities? Ha! ... It seems that Montreal and Toronto are the only cities worth visiting in Canada.... (toronto has had oodles of visits from the orb...) blaine - -- _ . Please help me find out ... As far as I know, the Blue Room is the Area 51 hangar in a US military airbase in Roswell/New Mexico. Allegedly, aliens crashed somewhere near it and were recovered and examined by US military people. To avoid public uproar, the aliens are said to have been kept secret within the Blue Room (how much of a secret is this, then?). There were photographs around showing *the* prototype aliens with thin limbs, big heads and huge black eyes. Funnily, on the photographs one of the aliens was wearing a watch that was developed about a decade or so after the crash allegedly happened. Some people maintain that the photos are not showing actual aliens but some old woman with a disease that heavily distorts outer appearance (much like Mr. Burns in the "Springfield Files" episode of The Simpsons). See that's the greatest thing about metaphor. You can read it into anything you want. Every person's take on something as complex as an orb song is unique. I doubt seriously that most things people read huge amounts into really meant the same thing (or anything at all, for that matter) to the original artist. As an artist, one of your moments of true happyness is when somebody, on their own, comes to exactly the same conclusions about a piece that you yourself have. Then again, it's also wicked cool to see what kinda wacky things people see in your stuff that you didn't yourself.
