I opted for a low-end Numark turntable, from the local Guitar Center, for about $100. It has to do with the karaoke aspect of the machine, you can basically adjust the pitch of any CD, and it also can block the vocals (well do its best to block the vocals) of a song. I just finally caught up with reading all my email that came while I was gone. I picked up the UK version of Cydonia on the 26th (for once I was in the right country at the right time). I didn't even know there was no EDM on the US/Canaidan versions until I got back, so it's a good thing I picked it up there (not that I would have waited anyway). I must say, I think it's a damn fine recording. I really like Turn It Down and Plum Island. But the songs all rock. Met the Aphex Twin and Cylob while I was over there too. I just downloaded the Badorb promo mix, and discovered that several of LX's interjections of weird noises & voices -- specifically those from 0'00-0'28, 10'05-10'40 and 14'40-15'07 -- are from a CD-R that I sent LX several months ago for that very purpose. Tee hee! And she gave me Cydonia Island press, and later I got my package finally from AB-CD with Cydonia + Singles and both of them were different print one was US and th= e other was the limited 14 tracker with the silver label and a sticker sayi= ng made in ENGLAND.
