This is the "official" tracklisting for the BadOrb promo; as posted by Nico Baars: TRACKLISTING: - - LFC - Detour Mix - - Once More - Bedrock Mix - - Centuries - Eurofen Mix - - NY Connection - Once More - - Shem - Lost Woods of Timber - - I'm Alright - Keith Hudson DB remix - - S.E. Berlin - Sissy - - Lovin You - - Multiverse Puffin in Paradise Pretty much the same; note that it even has the same mis-identification of the S.E.Berlin track (it is Shuttle, not Sissy). Anyway, it is on at least one of the FTP's, encoded from one of the promo CDs sent out; it should be fairly easy to check if it is exactly the same mix, or a new one with the same tracks. I rather suspect that it probably is exactly the same, but would be pleasntly surprised to be found wrong. :) Chris > > > Subject: RE: (orb) Orb remixes on XFM at 3.00 GMT > > > > > > Did, anyone else get to here this? I picked up a brand new copy of mikey dread show---african anthem yesterday on vinyl. I had thought this was a rare hard to find peice of wax that alot of dj's searched long and hard to get. It was released on RAS in 89, but the store had like 6 brand new copies, so I guess they are repressing it. Recognised lots of samples, some used on just remix or live stuff by the orb. Well no matter what I am glad I got it, it has lots of nice samples at the beggining of the tracks, and all in all some of the best roots dub I have gotten to buy in a long time. take care all. jahsh # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info orb" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email orb@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 27 Mar 2001 02:28:30 -0700 From: mhlady Subject: (orb) (new?) Finally got my tickets to the Toronto date on 4/22. Anybody else gonna be there? Here's a question: what's the best way to approach Alex et al. after a show? The usual acts I go to are small local ones where the performers usually enter the crowd after their set to chat it up. Does Alex do this? I think it's be great to meet the man behind the music I've been listening to for over 8 years! On another note, The last "big" show I was at was Bjork during the Homogenic tour (ok ok it's been a while) and she was like surrounded by 10 000 securtiy guards. All these screaming fans were thrusting collectibles to be signed at her, which she politely took from them and placed them on the stage out of their reach forever! I think a lot of people learned from that. james ......ooooooOOOOOOoooooo......
