I received an email just a few moments ago saying that they would fix it, but "As much as we'd love to host every archive from certain shows, we are unable to due to the amount of space that they take up. We try to be selective and pick the best shows, we are currently hosting 10 of his shows as archives on the site. We do also occasionally have technical problems with archives which means that for one reason or another we can't put them up." Hopefully this set will go through (only because it's the only one I haven't heard -- so greedy I am) jeff > > > bi11i wrote: > > > > Has anyone else had trouble with this? All purchases outside of the E.U. are supposed to be VAT free but the mechanism to do so isn't available yet. I would imagine it's a result of the new currency created over there, the EURO, but I 'll let the euro-orbies answer that. Yes it is in stereo and it is Ultra catalog# 1092, but it also has a deviant logo on it. Several of the tracks have samples layered on top of them that I haven't heard before, most notably the Satellite Serenade (which I have the original single of) mix which has weird slowed down voices that aren't on the single or the first pressing of Auntie Aubrey. Also, the Democracy remix is significantly different than the one on the first version of AA, so one of these must not actually be the Russian Tundra Mix. All in all if you are a true Orb fan you will run out and buy the new version of Auntie Aubrey right now. Unfortunately they completely did away with the awesome 64 page booklet and discography, but what are you gonna do? So thats the straight dirt, if any cares that is, I'm really surprised no one else has offered any accurate info on this as it has been out for almost a week. ikki # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info orb" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email orb@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 15 Jul 2001 22:39:33 +0100 From: "Nick King" Subject: RE: (orb) Auntie Aubreys I am correct in assuming that this has only been released in the States so far?? I was almost positive that aubrey's excursions was released in America. Well, I just looked at my copy, and it says Deviant UK. When it was first released, I bought an "import" copy (i'm in the US) and it had two disc 2's and zero disc 1's so I took it back, got store credit (they didn't have any other copies left) and then a "domestic" version arrived which was like 10-15 dollars cheaper... heh, but it's still the deviant UK version. Yesterday, saturday, I was in central park, NYC. Walking through, we heard music playing, techno music. We meandered over to find that Basement Jaxx was playing. I guess it's their first Live US performance ever. But I don't care about them anyhow. While we were walking away, there was a girl handing out stickers.... ORB STICKERS!!!! hooray! heh.. I ended up (from the girl, and from the ground, garbage etc) with 3 stickers for excursions part 2, and 4 stickers for excursions. they both have the same typeface of the name "orb" (lowercased) and the part 1 is a blue background with the turtle on it, and the part 2 is a purple background with a lizard on it. I was stoked! well, that's all.. can't wait to see part 2 in a store now :) - -ben Smiley wrote: > RELEASES: > > 1996 saw the release of 'Auntie Aubrey's Excursions > Beyond The Call Of Duty' an album of Orb remixes > (remixes of other artists which have been Orbed) in > the UK. > > 2001 see's an excursion for Aubrey to America via > ULTRA RECORDS.
