Shots like Max and Liz on either side of the Crashdown dorrs in the rain, or the way Max was lit in blue and Liz in warm orange when Max was professing his loyalty to her... even the Wide Shot of Michael investigating Tess's house were all original and refreshing. Did Alex really say the transmitter had a "high-grain antenna?" he did mean "high gain" didn't he? I thought Max and Michael's tussle was a bit contrived, a excuse to uncover the camera. I agree with Kate Ancel's review on CrashDown - I was waiting for Mr. Harding to sculpt the Devil's Tower as well - I am sure it was an in-joke I have to say that the Dawson's Creek lighting that seems to be evrywhere these days is done quite well on Roswell, how people manage to walk around without bumping into things I don't know. You'd expect the characters to say "Hmm, there appears to be a blue searchlight outside my window." It must be great to live in America where night is as bright as day and there's mist everywhere and everything's blue... maybe Eiffel65 come from America... but I ramble. There was a BRIEF glimpse of Brendan Fehr jumping onto some platform, but he was the only Roswellian in last night's promo. But even during the full version, the Roswell cast was jipped. If you blink, you'll never see Katy (sitting at a table), Majandra, or Shiri (both coming out of the restrooms). Jason is shown more frequently, and Brendan is visible at times, but I don't think any Roswell fans were content with the amount of air time the cast got. The Night is Young Video Admitly the cast of Roswell was in it very little, that could be attributed they didn't know if the show was going to be renewed, they we down to the last hour on that. And the video was probably filmed in late April, early May. They also put in the cast for Young Americans, it was my understanding that this show is only going to air during the Summer and not be on the fall line up. The WB will probably put a second version of the video out in the Fall, who knows it may even feature more of the Roswell cast. Remember the first version of Crawl - The Faces of the WB did not feature Roswell only the second version of the video did. Although I am a big sci-fi fan, the relationship aspect of the show is probably the main drawcard for me. I am working on my own little drama series to be shot out in the wilds where I live, and seeing the depth of interaction in Roswell is an inspiration! I see the story as having an allegory in teen feelings of isolation and ostracism, or at least being designed to appeal to that area. The thing I think is is that if we stick to our guns and say that we, as the fans, want the character development and in-depth relationships the show provided us in the past, than that's what we're gonna get. I mean, with the whole letter campaign to get the show renewed we've proved to *everybody* that we have an influence. I think the show has evolved into something different that how it began. People compared it to "The X-Files" because of the aliens' quest being similar to Mulder's. They don't have that anymore. Now, they have a more defined purpose and a sense of origin (to fight their "enemy"). I can see how that could be the show focus, but me and my Roswell-bud Emily are convinced they can't do the show without developing the characters. So, maybe we're just worrying for nothing. I honestly don't think we have anything to worry about with the show developing more of a sci-fi feel. The relationships are going to be there; much of the thrust of the first season focused on the aliens learning to handle human relationships, and I think those relationships are going to be crucial in this 'save the home planet' agenda they've been given. Max, Michael, Isabel, and Tess really have absolutely NO idea how to go about their mission, and the initial efforts to even discover the truth about themselves required their human friends' help. In the beginning, Michael was the only one who really even wanted to discover the truth about their origins, and he literally dragged Maria along for that ride and needed her to make it happen (remember 285 South and how she was the one who helped him re-envision something from that key, not to mention provided the transportation to Marathon?). The humans, including Valenti, have assisted the aliens in their search, in protecting them, etc. That's not going to go away just because the writers are adding more sci-fi. Michael is still going to work at the Crashdown (Mr. Emancipated needs an income), and thus he's still going to be involved with Maria. And our four aliens, who have limited understanding of their own capabilities (except maybe for Tess), or even control over their gifts, aren't suddenly going to be able to handle a planet full of humans who might freak at knowing they even exist and 'bad aliens' out to stop their mission. They've needed the humans all along, and they'll continue to need them next season. Heck, Mother told them the only way they would know the good from the bad would be by seeing 'the evil within'. So far, the only person *proven* to literally have that ability is Liz. Yes, it was Nacedo. The thing you have to remember is that Michael calculated all the symbols instinctivly, trying to send a message to- Nacedo! Since *someone* responds to that message, it *has* to be Nacedo. Why would Agent Pierce or one Of the "enemy" respond to a message specifically for Nacedo? The fact that he reignites the symbol Isabel *erased* also proves he had was drawen there. The "enemy" didn't know about Max, Michael, or Isabel until the end of ~Destiny~. Then why did Nacedo burn the picture? I think this was supposed to be symbolic, either signifying the end of the aliens' life in Roswell and the eventual acceptance of their destiny, or that what they once were would be what they are no longer and the burning picture symbolized a new beginning. I'm new on this list. :)  About Nasedo burning the photo, what I want to know is: why does he have photos of them in the first place? It doesn't make sense that he would burn the photo - but I agree that it could be symbolic. And why was Valenti hiding and taking photos outside Tess' house? Valenti confused me by doing that - I couldn't tell if he really wanted to protect the kids or not. He built up my trust, but when I saw him doing that, I didn't trust him anymore! Then in Max To The Max, obviously he became trustworthy again.

We still have a couple of episodes to go here in New Zealand (although I've read spoilers to see what happens!).

BTW, how can I change from digest mode to individual email mode of this list?

On the other hand, it does give a future possibility for that to actually come up -- that Nacedo's cover will be blown, and everyone will have to deal with that. As far as Nacedo burning the pictures, I didn't think much of this either until later. Obviously he didn't need the photo for any length of time since he could 'scan' the images in his brain, but where did he get the photo from? Certainly he wouldn't need to take a photo himself for the same reason. But, of course, this is television and they weren't ready to show us Nacedo's face so we got to see some unknown character's interest in the pod squad by showing *us* the photo, and then burning the evidence making us wonder if he was a good guy or bad guy. Naturally he wouldn't want to be caught with it, otherwise the Special Unit could close in on him quicker. I heard Majandra hurt her eye some how. Anyway they arrived at the park around 4:30pm and was originally at 4, they were stuck in traffic coming from San Francisco. They also went to SFO to their hotel to check out. I took some pictures of Shiri and Nick. Emilie left for a while to ride the "Stealth" with some fans. A friend of mine took a picture of me and Shiri, I also got some signed picture from Shiri and Nick. Once I develop my pictures, I'll probably post them up for you guys to check out.
