Many of you probably go to the Fanforum message board and already know all about this, so I'll try to be brief, though once I get started it's hard to stop. It was absolutely wonderful!! About 75 people gathered at the Paramount Studios Commissary on Saturday night. The room was nicely decorated with banners made of photos from the show and with large inflatable Tabasco Sauce bottles, and we each got a little Tabasco bottle gift. There was a raffle for things like Roswell baseball caps, signed cast photos, and signed scripts. 3 big TVs were continously showing Roswell episodes while we had a buffet dinner and talked non-stop. Tours were arranged to see the sets, which was really special as the sets are usually "closed" and marked very clearly "no tours." People were able to see the inside of the Crashdown, Liz's balcony & bedroom, Max's bedroom (sigh, my camera was out of film), Valenti's office, Michael's bedroom, the UFO center, the outside courtyard of the school, the eraser room & janitor's closet, the science classroom, and some other things I'm forgetting. I didn't get to see all of this myself, as I was on the super short, super fast tour at the very end. We had to rush to get back to see a special screening of a rough studio cut of Sexual Healing. How fun to get to see it early! (But I'm looking forward to seeing it tonight without 70 other people!) But the huge unexpected unbelievable treat of the night was the surprise appearance of Brendan and Majandra!! They came and stayed for over an hour, autographing stuff and having their pics taken. They were relaxed and friendly and just darling. Brendan is much cuter in person than on TV (can you imagine!?) and smiles a lot and jokes around and is really nice. Majandra is very very tiny! And so friendly and sweet. They were patient and nice and seemed to be pleased to meet the fans. As far as I can tell, this is a permanent change. Oh... and the episode airing on April 10th will be a new one - "Crazy". Before anyone panics, just remember that Buffy started out in this spot and did quite well. Buffy even managed to beat out 7th Heaven quite a few times. Roswell and Buffy attract the same sort of audience, so I think Roswell will do just fine. The really good thing about this news is that I now having something to look forward to on Mondays!
