hello all!
gosh for the first time since BTVS aired, i opted to watch the Teen Choice 
Awards instead of a BTVS rerun.
i was so thrilled to see the cast of Roswell presenting an award....
ironically it was SMG (from BTVS) that won that award.
i thought jason behr looked very *uncomfortable* there. i think that 
Katherine Heigl wearing glasses was so cool. by wearing glasses she sent a 
*message* out to all us young people.... you can be drop dead gorgeous and 
still admit to an "imperfection."
actually, i thought all of them looked rather uncomfortable there. but it 
was so great to see them all together. <sniff>, so sorry that Brendan didn't 
win an award.

yours is the first sighting (pardon the pun) of the Roswell show overseas. i 
have been telling all my *overseas* friends about this wonderful show .... 
they have not heard of it. i am guessing that because of translation and not

picked up by countries overseas.

HI...I have not watched the awards yet but I did catch Roswell present (I
taped the show so I will watch eventually). Anyway, did anyone think it was
funny how Majandra was reading/lipping everyone's lines from the
teleprompter (sp)? I saw her on the alma awards and she just does not make a
great presenter in my opinion...oh well...maybe it just takes more practice.
Anyone else have comments about the awards...besides Jason looking so hot.

We got the first season on Sky (satellite and cable only, owned by Murdoch,
the man who owns Fox) at 8pm on a Thursday evening. I missed the first

the beginning of the next series, are you?

Kellygirl said that you hadn't had any overseas subscribers yet.

I think Roswell's taken off pretty well here in the UK - I don't have any
very strong evidence, but the shops who sell sci-fi goodies are all busy
trying to find Roswell things to stock. A staff member in the nice one in
Sheffield (where I live, in the centre of England) commented, when he saw
my (bought on the internet from Power Star in NJ) Roswell t-shirt that I
was risking my life wearing it in the shop - he knew several customers
who'd happily kill me to get it! We don't have firm news yet that Sky are
buying the new episodes, but I'm hoping that they're going to do their
usual trick of repeating the first series first, so that I can get tapes
made!

I've bought Rites of Passage (my dvd player's chipped, so that I can watch
discs from other regions, not just 'Europe') and quite enjoyed it - though
judging by the hints in the director's commentary, it was nearly a much
better film. It feels to me like the story doesn't quite come through
clearly enough - it's a bit too buried in the moody pouting. The biggest
disappointment was the turned-down sound track in the last of the 'deleted
scenes' - Jason smiling was surprising enough, but actually singing, and
looking as though he's enjoying himself? Wow!

Has anyone seen Final Destination? Can you recommend it?

"Tess" joined the group with the episode CRAZY as the
new girl in school. Isabel makes friends with her, and
then weird things start to happen.

This character has been a major source of angst for
most fans.  It's a love/hate thing: you either like
her because she brings a new bit of drama to the show,
or you hate her because she threatens to disrupt the
dynamic already established.  You should see the
messages posted on the fanforum.com board sometime!

Uhh, the movie Final Destination?  I'm not sure what this has to do with

The company's called Power Star, and their postal address is 111 West
Nicholson Road, Audubon, NJ 08106. They're *very* efficient and helpful,
and I can recommend them highly.

The web site is a bit rickety - takes a while to download, and is smothered
with warnings that the ordering system might not work for AOL users and
others - it rarely works for me. But if you wait for all the images to
download - despite the 'Roswell' URL, you actually get fed through a
multi-choice gateway that you can't shortcut by bookmarking - the choice of
Roswell merchandise is good. There are two nice t-shirts with screen
printed photos and one navy blue one (with matching sweatshirt) that
pretends to be 'property of W Roswell High' - slightly odd, perhaps? They
keep all the Metz books, and have mugs, photos, keyrings and lots of other
bits and pieces. They also have a very handy e-mail service, letting you
know that something new has come in.

I would advise caution with the autographed photos: although I've been very
pleased to have Jason's autograph here and there's no doubting its
authenticity, its frame ('marbled' wood with golden bits and a 'brass'
plaque) is horrendous and almost impossible to dismantle - and it cost a
fortune to have posted.

Well Brendan Fehr had a bit part in it, the first 20 minutes or so, thats it. 
 But I have to agree, it was a good movie, but it was very creepy and scary!

I've been subscribed to this list for awhile but
haven't written anything, so i thought i'd start now.
My name's Angela and i'm from Australia. I've been a

Mel, I finally watched the awards yesterday and saw that with Majandra...I 
was laughing so hard!  You can tell she doesn't work on a live show...

And could you tell how tired they all looked? especially Jason and Majandra?  
Maj looked like she was ready to fall over when she was walking 
out...::snicker:: maybe thats why she read along...to make sure she didn't 
fall asleep!

    I looked at the new cover of TEEN PEOPLE Magazine and saw "TV sneak 
Peek-The best shows and hot new stars you'll love" and I look inside and see 
that Roswell is on the 1st page and there is a huge 2-side picture of the 
cast in the woods ( a very classy look).  the article also talks about all of 
the 22,000 emails that were sent to keep Roswell on the air.
Here's the article, enjoy:
        "Just like the little engine that could, Roswell comes steaming back, 
fueled by higher ratings on a new night and 4,000 or so bottles of Tobasco 
sauce mailed in to the WB as proof of its fans' devotion. (22,000 e-mails 
sent via TEEN PEOPLE helped on the renewal front too). That loyalty will be 
rewarded right away: In the 1st episode,"(the aliens) realize they're not 
alone in Roswell," says Jason Katims, who hints that an established character 
(but probably no one pictured here) will be in danger. So the game plan 
that's evolved -- "to hit the sci-fi harder that the romance" as Nick 
Weechsler puts it--won't change this fall. As for the Liz-Max-Tess triangle 
of destiny versus desire, don't expect easy answers. "Liz and Max are going 
to have to work through it," predicts Shiri,"Withoutknowing if they can make 
it." Look for 4 new characters too: one teen, 2 twentysomethings and 1 adult. 
Some will be human, some "Czechoslovakian,"  We don't know the exact ratio, 
but according to Jason , "If the 1st season was the exploration of Max's

MONDAYS at 9 p.m.)

of Liz coming back from Florida, I've read all the spoilers for the season, 
but does anyone know whether or not Max and Liz will definately get back 
together this season?  All I've heard is that it's possible and likely from

i was sooo happy to see tess( i forgot hoe to spell her real name) in a 
photo! i don't have any photos of her!, Katherine looked gorgeous as always! 
Jason cute as ever. . (i kno ikno i sound so superficial) Majandra beatiful 
and stylish, is she ever anything else? Shiri looked great! and nick. . . 
nick was great!!! it so good to see him in a cast picture, and he looked 
particularly handsome too.  but where was brendan or colin?? that was kind of 
upsetting to me. . . but any picture of the roswell cast is good for me.

Hi Angela, welcome to the list!

I happened to watch Destiny over the weekend, along with Max to the Max and
Four Square. Oh, and the White Room. I'm glad you liked Destiny, but it
still seems to me that they probably put this episode together rather
hastily. With the quality of the last few shows that preceded it, I wonder
if the White Room was actually supposed to be the season finale. I think it
would have made a much better season finale (without the rescue), wondering
all summer if Max was going to be tortured to death. Destiny just seemed to
conveniently wrapped up -- like they really weren't certain if the show
would be renewed or not (which they didn't know until basically the last
minute).

Anyway, I'm sure we're all waiting to find out more about Tess, and how Tess
and Max are going to get together, and how Tess will replace Liz. <Dodging
all the rotten tomatoes coming at me!!>
