The hybrid chronicles have been pretty good, using all these episodes to help tie together all the seeming loose ends we had been wondering about. It's nice to see parents actually wondering what in the world their children are doing (though I do believe they've aged an extra year this season), and hardly any conflict between the main characters, which had troubled me considerably earlier this season. I really like how the Valentis have been used (with Tess) this season too. I had really wondered how in the world the show was going to make it, without the Sheriff being the primary antagonist, as he was for most of the first season. I still wish there had been a better 'bad guy,' or some kind of better conflict in the show, other than the skins and the dissention between some of the characters. Because of it, some are still thinking Roswell is 'on the ropes' for a third season. My guess (and I know *nothing*) for the next installment of the Hybrid Chronicles (*two* weeks from now!) is that: 1) Valenti will get his job back; 2) The pod squad won't, in fact, "leave the planet"; 3) Kyle and Max will resolve at least some differences; 4) Kyle and Tess may take another step forward; 5) I *don't* think Liz is going to spill the beans about future-Max and her just yet; 6) Some cheesy alien plot to save the day from the alien bacteria (or whatever). Regardless, if they could have done such a good job throughout most of this season, as they did in these last few episodes, I think their renewal for next season would have been more certain.
