Thanks for the words, and as far as a new list, I'm for any ideas. From experience, I know it's difficult to keep a list intact. For one thing, like any other list, only a small percentage of people post (about 5-10%, by my estimates), so we would only know the intentions of those few. Many list members do not want to be 'ported' over to a new list without their consent, and sometimes not at all, so I decided against that. Other lists will already have a 'character' in place, and if you're not already a member of one of those, it won't seem quite the same. Admittedly, most of the PlanetX lists are a little stuffy and tend to procure the stereotypical Simpson's Comic Book fellow ("Worst. Episode. Ever."), and almost all of the eGroups/YahooGroups will be FanFic and be the quintessential "and I was, like, oh my gosh, no way!" (the exact opposite). That's one of the things I wanted this list to be; something in between those two extremes. Perhaps we could vote on a primary list to resubscribe to? Maybe it would help ease the confusion. Note the list only has about 8 more days, so you'd need to act fast. By the way, I was wondering if anyone had anything to say about the last episode? Although I liked the episode, I thought it would have had more 'umpf' to it, being the last of the 4-part Hybrid Chronicles. I'm a little worried about what all that money is going to accomplish in the next one. :) Take care, Mike - ---------------------------------------------------------------- Visit http://www.xmission.com/~btvs/roswell/ for help and info. - ---------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 23 Feb 2001 13:50:36 -0800 (PST) From: laura gaddy Subject: Re: [roswell] Lists 'n Stuff (was: Don't read this spoiler if you don't wanna know!) hey mike! well after you said this,i thought about it and you are right - there are certain "feels" to groups, especially if they have been arounf awhile. this was my only roswell list, and i am so sad that it is ending, which is why i suggested a switch. if anybody has any other ideas, throw them out here quick....... last episode, well, okay i liked it, but it seemed like filler space to me, and not so much the awaited end of a story arc. i mean, we only know kinda what happened still - how they got the human DNA etc, how the aliens knew topick someone with the chromosone, etc.....unless they have been coming here all along? i don't know, it didn't answer too many questions for me, and i would think that Max, Iz, and Tess would be wondering about their donors too? i liked seeing kyle and alex, and especially their interaction togther. umm, does no one realize that tucson, az is like 8 hours away from roswell? how did grtant get there so fast? or did i miss something? and if these aliens seem to think it is okay to harvest humans and drive them insane - um, why ARE we rooting for them exactly? i keep coming back to this - - i have found NO redeeming qualities to root for the aliens back on the home planet at all. so who cares about our podsters destiny, for goodness sake? i sure don't. and i never even hated tess, so i am not even biased like that. it is nice to see everyone being a bit more of a unit. still some problems but still better than ait was.... how long are they going to drag out this max / liz stuff and did she sleep with kyle? so M&M are back togther? or no? or yes? or no? okay - that's it for me........ smiles, laura - --- Mike Stone wrote: > Thanks for the words, and as far as a new list, I'm > for any ideas.
