I went through all of my stamps, and have a bunch I would love to get rid of, and maybe you are in the same boat. What this entails, is that if you have stamps you want to get rid of, stamp the images in black ink on to a white piece of paper. Write on the paper near the stamp the price you are asking for the image. On the bottom of each sheet place your name snail mail address, and e mail address. Do not forget that it will cost you something to send your stamps out. You may want the buyer to pay these costs, or you may want to take care of that. It is something you will work out yourselves. I am asking $2-3 dollars for large wood mounted stamps, and lots less for unmounted. Mark wether the images are mounted or not. Mail the sheet to me by March 1st. I will make copies of the sheets and mail the booklets out to all those interested. Anyone is welcome to the book, they just need to email me, and sign up. The cost is $2.00, to cover copying fees, envelopes and mailing. this same cost applies to those sending sheets of images. Then we will have a set date, that you may begin inquiring about the stamps. That is the only fair way to let everyone have the equal opportunity at buying the images you want. So, if interested, e mail me, and let me know if you would be sending sheets of images, or just want a booklet. This is a great way to clean out your stamps, and then use the flea market sales to buy that new image you just have to have! I had been ordering from Wenohah Cohen at Rubberd for awhile and have seen her name. She is a very good vender and has been so helpful to me. Thank you Wenohah and hope your father is doing much better. I saw an ad from Phil Schloss for Red Castle Inc. for a grap bag and decided to try, Phil thank you for the nice grab bag and the "extras" I have never used this brand of stamps and am real pleased at what Phil send. Thank you Phil A very good friend of mine sent me a Valentine Package from Karen Harris. This was my first UM stamp and boy what a neat package Karen sent. Every thing I needed to get started. Thanks Karen. And last but not least I ordered from Mariann at Simply Cute and Pretty. She was so helpful and even sent me an e mail about using UM stamps and everything I needed to know about them. I ordered one of her grab bags plus one othre special. I am so pleased with my stamps. Such a nice selection. Animals, stars, fruit, angels, messages, moons, you name it, I have it. It was such a nice treat to myself, I'm going to order another. Thanks Mariann for your help. Now for one tip...I use the carpet tape for mounting backbrounds and card stock to my cards. I got the cheap tape at the dollar store, 2.00 for a big roll. It works great and so easy...Thanks again everyone on this list. Edge the vellum with fancy scissors if desired. 2) Use lots of coordinating papers to layer underneath one simple stamp - if done right, you don't even need to colour in the stamped image. The multiple layers give it a sense of extravagence. Looking forward to hearing everyone else's ideas! I have to say... Tribe Buddy(TB), whoever you are, you are wonderful. Im very lucky to have you! Your packages have helped cheer me up while I am bedridden. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Your packages have really showed me how to be a good buddy. Learning by your example, I hope that I can be as good to the person I am sending to as you are to me. Thanks so much!!!!! Both packages that I have received from TB have had a theme. My December's package was filled with all sorts of wonderful papers. This month TB did the neatest thing. My TB's theme this month is DeNami stamps (She knew that I couldn't get these stamps here in Canada). She put together the package based on a DeNami swap that is currently going on. I opened up the package to find a print out of the swap details for the DeNami swap that is going on right now. Also is a beautiful card made with a DeNami stamp. This is a terrific example of how to use DeNami stamps!!! The package was filled with treats wrapped in tissue paper. Each one is decorated with beautiful green sheer ribbon that matches the ribbon used on the card she sent (6 of them too, just the perfect number to make cards for the swap). I opened each package to find everything that I need to participate in this swap and make cards like the one that she sent me. What a neat idea!!!!! Here is what ny TB sent to me: vellum Marvy markers: red, green, fushia 3 (yes, you read right! 3 of them!!!!) beautiful DeNami stamps white pigment ink white embossing powder snowflakes confetti hearts confetti lots of hershey kisses and peppermint patties!!! My TB also included two coloring books for my 4 year old, Aaron. He was so excited that he got a buddy package too. He went right away and colored a page out of each of the books. He asked me to send them to my TB in my thank you card!!!! Thanks so much, you made his day!!!! BTW..... I emailed the swap hostess and have joined the DeNami swap! Thanks! Stay Happy and Healthy! This is what I did. I chose a flower bouquet from ANM, fairly large stamp and used it as a single image. First off, I quickly painted an image sized piece of cardstock with white pearlescent ink and set it aside. Then I crumpled up a piece of that gold tissue paper that I got in the after Christmas sales and straightened it back out, but not TOO smoothly. Chose a nice piece of cardstock and cut it in half, then scored across the fold and laid it back out flat. Glue stick (I like the Purple ones from Prang) all over the FRONT of the card and laid the crumpled gold tissue on top. Smoothed it out abit and trimmed the edges, then stuck it under a book to dry. It winds up looking like antigue gold leaf. Then I embossed the flower bouquet in gold on the pearlescent coated cardstock, which was now dry. Cut it out, leaving a small border around the edge. By this time, the main card was dry. Embossed "Happy Birthday" inside, then cut an irregular shaped piece of the gold mesh fabric stuff I got at the Christmas sale and pulled one of the strings abit to "gather" it some. Attached that to the front of the card, attached a couple pieces of gold skinny ribbon on top and used a pop dot to attach the flower bouquet image. All that was left was to thread a piece of gold ribbon around the card's fold and knot it, trimming the ends and knotting them, too. The gold layered on gold with the gold embossed image in white pearl turned out VERY elegant, or at least the friend who received it thought so!
