Music Modules For Greeting Cards .85 each These modules are only 1 1/4" x 3 1/2" x 1/8" and have a self stick backing which you peel off when applying to the card (or any other item you wish to activate "sound). They are incredibly easy to apply. You simply open up the card. Remove protective paper on the back of the movement to expose the adhesive. You align the notches with the fold on that card and press in place. Then you remove the little plastic protective sleeve to activate the music. You then refold the card, right side first, to conceal the movement. The are wonderful for pop up cards, when you have "double sheets" of paper, making it easy to "hide" but, you can always just put a little bit of matching paper or card stock over the movement, and it is fine also. It will take one or two applications, before you discover the easiest way for you. Be sure keep ALL glue away from the pull tab that opens and starts it. So I gave the presentation today and one of the members stayed afterwards and wants to come talk to me about how to get started with an internet business. We've bought a house and next Thurs is the big day! I put up a web page to show my family, who live all over the country, what we bought. That was going to be the end of it until some of my local customer urged me to share this page with all of you, and to tell you a little bit about how we got to buying this house. Actually, I do want to express my deepest thanks to every single stamper who has ever made a purchase from AAS or Imagick. It is because of each one sale, each person who became a customer and then a friend, that Don and I have been able to buy this house. Many companies on the Internet, sell at deep discounts and are not trying to make a living from their business. I've been asked at times, why I do not routinely discount my products. Well, I do make my living from my business and my products are fairly priced. I do run sales, but they are "special" and not the routine way of life. I think sometimes, it is good to remind you, the dear customer, that you are contributing to a livelihood, not a hobby. And I deeply appreciate you. The road to this new house has been a rocky one, but I am a determined woman and have remained focused on the goal. It's taken us 7 years of yr of ups and downs to save enough to be able to buy this house. What many of you don't know is that 4 yrs ago, the home we were living in was totally destroyed in a fire.We were uninsured and lost everything. The only part of my business that was not consumed, was my etchings! We've been through 3 periods of extended unemployment and other personal crises. From that, we've rebuilt Imagick and created AAS. Like the mythological phoenix, we rose again. On a side note, I find it interesting that we found ourselves relocating and accomplishing this resurrection in Atlanta; a city whose symbol and history is most phoenix like. For the last 4 years, we've lived and worked in a 500 sqft duplex....it's literally a case of rubber EVERYWHERE! Our new house is 1750 sqft.. we can hardly wait! So if you are one of the many customer who have helped to make this dream possible, THANK YOU!!!!!!! If you'd like to see what you helped to buy, here the address of the web page http://www.stampcity.com/aas/house.htm Big Hugs to you all! ffff,0000,0000_____________________________________ Wendy Gunderson < Appalachian Art Stamps http:/www.stampcity.com/aas/index.htm PO Box 1405, Norcross,GA 30091 800-818-8878 770-962-2669 FAX 770-682-7223 - - ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Mar 1998 14:53:58 EST From: Amazonadct Subject: Re: RubberTown: Bear lovers club Attn. I was fortunate to be able to see all of the cards as Fran and I made the booklets, and I am so impressed by the talent and depth of feeling all of the swap participants put into their card. I was touched by the stories you sent, poems you made and photos you included. The cards I received were created by: Jaimee Givens (Olyvia29@aol.com) created a wonderful card featuring a picture of her grandparents on the front. She layered in exotic paper behind the picture and used some interesting yarn as an adornment for the fold of the card. Jaimee, you poems and story were so touching! Thank you for sharing them. Tracy May (Barefootstamper@juno.com) created a stunning stampscapes scene at night for her card. It is truly beautiful....you are skilled with that tonal applicator!! She also included some thoughts about the friends this card is in remembrance of, also very touching. Cynthia Sillitoe (cynthia@ionet.net) created a dazzling card using gold embossing over purple to remember a lost cat. It is simple and striking. I recently almost lost my Dax (a Chihuahua) and can deeply empathize with you Cynthia. Bonnie Lass (bonnieL@cdsnet.net) created a booklet in remembrance of her Mother. She included a recent photo and one from her Mother's youth. She did a super job of designing and writing about her Mom. I was very touched reading this. Bonnie also included a vellum page in her booklet that sets the card off and gives it an added elegant touch. Paula Jo Green (pj-green21@hotmail.com) created a classy Native American designed card. She stamped a totem bird on cream cardstock and layered this over a teal cardstock. She adorned the card with a dream catcher, and then explained why she chose the colors and objects she did to remember her grandfather. This is a wonderful card!! I hope all of you have a super day!!! Hugs, Cindy - - ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Mar 1998 13:53:08 -0700 From: rene16@juno.com (Rene N Rosenberg) Subject: RubberTown: Re: 2 more wonderful RAKS I got 2 wonderful RAKS in the mail today. One was from Linda Edwards. She made the card from medium blue textured card stock. On it she pasted a fish (which I believe is a salmon) colored in green. Under the fish is waves made from strips of card stock that look like waves and have been glittered in copper and turquoise. It is such a neat card. Thanks Linda The second card came from Marachel Young. She did it on off white card stock. On it are 2 Sabbath candle sticks beautifully colored and either embossed or she used liquid crystal. In either case the candles are just beautiful. Above the candles she has the saying "May the light of each candle fill your home and heart with joy". Thanks Marachel.
