Got home from hospital feeling bummed out after my knee op to find a nice surprise RAK from Ally Smith - all the way from Tasmania!!! A lovely wedding anniverary card (celebrating 13 years next Monday but wouldn't you know it like Moovis my hubby will be away on business on our wedding anniversary!!) and now I will try to describe it and do Ally's card justice. It is a beautiful marbled peachy/pink coloured cs with has been layered firstly with peachy tissue paper which has that nice torn edges done in like a diamond shape then some lovely white wispy mulberry paper (I'm guessing here cos it is just so fine and I think it is mulberry paper but it might be some other kind of exotic paper). Then Ally embossed a lovely rich pink heart on glossy white paper and cut this with deckle (sorry if I have guessed this wrong as well) scissors and put it right in the middle of the layered paper. A totally beautiful effect and I love it!! Thank you for the RAK Ally and it brightened up my whole day! I wonder if it was planed for me to recieve it on my Anniversary) When we got home from going to the pictures, there was a not from the post office saying that there was a pacel waiting up at the postoffice. To my surprise it was not the stamps that I had ordered at RDU, but it was my SST. All wrapped in red tissue paper (this time with star confette through it :-) First to be opened was WOW! (another thing I have not seen before ( and I am a person that spends most of my days at craft shops, specially stamp shops) anyway it was a Blue Iron-On Fabric Transfer Ink Pad WOW!, Next Chocolate YUM! Then opened another this was bath oil ( my skin will be very soft now). A lot of star confette later (Hey! I found something out.... You never try to collected all the confette when the fan is on ) The next was a orange iron-on transfer Ink pad. Also got the Crayola painting sponges alphabet ( these will come in handy with the numbers I got last time. The next pressy I opened was a great stencil book along with a heart/goose stencil ( and I love stenciling so these two will get a lot of use too) . Next was a Disney notelet book (son is already planing on writing lots of letters on it :-) ) Then something that I had just ran out of was son A4 glossy white cardboard (wow I have only ever got this in A5 size). I though that was all till I was emptying the last of the stars out of the envelope ( you would think I would have leart to turn of that Fan) There was another pressy. Wow ! an envelope with a window front, in this envelope was 3 Hot air balloon postage stamps (cool didn't know there was any) BUT...... wait a minute about 2 hours later when I was showing Neal I seen a corner behind one of the stamps, which needed a closer look, and wow there was not three postage stamps but 12 COOOOOOOOOOOL How do I ever thank my SST You really have spoiled me THANKS HEAPS Bye for now ... This week I finally got set up to make my own stamps. I want to thank everyone who has been so wonderful about taking a leap of faith on a new vendor and ordering cardstock grabbags from me. What I would like to offer now is a grabbag of unmounteds of my 1st plate of rubberstamps for $20.00 which includes shipping in the US. Add $1.00 shipping for Canada, Germany, Great Britain and Ireland. Add $2.00 shipping for Australia and New Zealand. Let me know if I left anyone out. There are a total of eighteen images that fill a 9" x 13" sheet. You can see the images at http://www.kans.com/~stamps/plate.htm On this sheet there are six large images, 4 medium, 4 small, 2 word type and 2 tiny ums. The large stamps are all large enough to fill the front of a card. These include a frog on a lily pad, a bridge with a stream running underneath, a mountain scene, 2 hummingbirds with flowers, a beach scene with seashells, and a large basket of flowers. The medium stamps include an Indian girl feeding a bird, a boy bunny shyly giving a girl bunny flowers, a feather (like a writing quill), and a sign that says Honeybees Welcome. The small stamps are a cactus, a begging dog, a chick on an egg with a feather in his hat and a butterfly. The word stamps are Handstamped By: and Good Job! The tiny stamps are a bird in flight (perfect for adding to the sky of your card) and a postoid size frog on a lily pad. I also sell HALOS and loop tape for those of you that use HALOS or are wanting to get a started set of HALOS. The images on this sheet of rubber will take about a yard of loop tape which is $5.99 per yard. If you order it with the UM Grabbag then there would be no additional shipping charges. I accept checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. By the way, Creative Images is an angel company. If you have any questions you can e-mail me or call me at (316) 364-8744. I'm adding these 2 colors to the ones I currently carry in the Astroparch line. These have a parchment look to them... the white is a very subtle effect, the blue is a grayish pastel color.
