Subj: RECEIVED!! - Stamps Happen Swap Date: 98-04-18 20:48:32 EDT From: AsianStamp To: rubberstampers@crafts.dm.net I got my Stamps Happen swap cards today! First I'd like to thank Terri Bradbury for doing such a terrific job with this swap & for the extra goodies! The following are the cards I received: 1. From Bin Y. Bin did a fantastic card using SH's flower fairy stamp and its surrounded by a morning glory border. Embossed in gold with some glitter on the wings. It's even wrapped up in cellophane! Verrry nice!!! 2. From Charmaine Charmaine's charming card consisted of a flower fairy reading to teeny tiny flower fairies. It's stamped in black and colored in. The wings are really cool. It looks like glitter glue but I don't think it is. Pearl Ex?? Let us know Charmaine!!! 3. From Marsha Braymen Marsha used SH's latest stamp line by D. Morgan. This is a beach house scene mounted on beige and blue cardstock. She also affixed a tiny seashell on the right hand side of the scene. Very nice!! 4. From Anonymous?? Name not given Gee, I wish I know who to thank for this card because there isn't a name on it. Anyway, this stamper used the little girl picking up seashells stamp (my favorite!!) and instead of coloring the whole thing, he/she only colored parts of the image. Very interesting presentation... The image was mounted on top of greyish mulberry paper & the whole thing was mounted on blue cardstock. Good job!!! 5. from Rosey Caudel Rosey's card is also very nice! It's from one of my favorite lines (the avonlea collection--- I wish I owned the whole line!!!). It's a little girl putting mail into the mailbox. Rosey colored it (the flower bushes must have taken a long time to color since it's so detailed!!!) and placed a "just a little note" stamp on the upper right hand corner. Nice!! I enjoyed this swap. It's a pleasure receiving all these nice cards from people on the list! Thanks so much!! ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com - - ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 18 Apr 1998 19:08:56 -0700 From: Maureen Butcher Subject: RubberTown: RS: Comm: Grand Opening Sale Hi stampers, I have recently opened a rubberstamp business and I would like to celebrate it with a very special offer for you! __Everything Sampler- You will receive 100 sheets (8 1/2x11) of cardstock and background papers in over 50 sumptuous colors and textures. My name, Jutta, gets all variations of spellings and pronounciations. You know you are being called on in the Dr. waiting area, when the nurse comes out and there is that long pause while she is formulating in her mind how your name is pronounced. I know that's my cue. My name is pronounced *U-ta* (long u as in the word YOU and ta with a short a, like in the word ton with the N gone) The emphasis is on the U. The J is silent and the two t's make the u strong. I get spellings such as Gutta, Utta, Uta, Jetta, Julia, Guhta, Yuta, Yutta. the list goes on. The receptionist at works always knows when a caller doesn't know who I am, by the way they pronounce my name. This helps alot, when salespeople try to sneek past her. you can always call me "StampHound". Not too many people mispronouce that one. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ StampHound at your service Toll-free (888) 339-9349 Fax (253) 804-9377 Web Site: http://www.wolfenet.com/~jutta VISA - MC - Discover - American Express Accepted HOOD ENTERPRISES, 1602 - 22nd St NE, Auburn WA 98002-3437 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - - ------------------------------ End of rubbertown-digest V1 #337 ********************************
