It came out so cute I had to make one for myself also. :~))) I painted a paper mache egg ( 8"- opening in front) with white paint, then pink. Dabbed interference paint in blue/green, violet and pearl. It was just gorgeous. Painted the inside with white, then dabbed the sky light blue and green for the grass. Placed it on a 3" wooden ring as a stand. I placed a ribbon around it and added flowers and bows on the top. Inside I laminated a number of Easter items, Azadi Earles- Arch w/roses, big bunny ( behind gate), daffodils, sun, post sign "Some Bunny Loves You", little sitting bunny, lamb, Easter Eggs. Other little bunnies and a "peep" chick and misc. eggs. The highlight was a set from "Stampendous" bunny with different hats and dresses, etc. I stamped the long dress, put my photo (face) and bunny ears on top. I stamped some little flowers and punched them with the star and heart punch, placed them in the foreground. Used the glue gun to hold everything in place. It was just too cute, had to share it with you. You could make up something like that for any occasions. The one I made for myself, I put my two children in it, back when they were 4 & 6 yrs. old. Enjoyed sharing this with you. Hope this gives someone some inspiration to make a similar one too. aka "Dusty" _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. This surely was fun and my descriptions may not do these justice but use your imagination and you will visualize what they are like. Rhode Island: On back of small, laminated card is: Rhode Island, The smallest state in the U.S., the smallest card in the swap!!! Card made by Cindy Woodard & Fran Robertshaw. Rhode Island Red chicken stamp by Kaligraphica. On the front the outline of the state of RI in black ink on white cs. Red, RI red chicken, facing left in middle of state below Rhode Island. Cute card and very inventive. Great Britain: Hi Mary: (Mary Claypool) What a really clever card. On back: Post card size - on top, left side It's Great in Britain! On bottom, same side, e-mail address and stamp by ANM: Lines on right side for address. Top left hand corner, bite type scissors used. On front: Cadbury designs all over, Dairy milk chocolate in purple, larger wrap (looks as if these were from actual candies) with Cadbury World in white and yellow done on purple, small British flag, Roses chocolate and fudge and other papers, some covered so can't read them all, Take the chocolate trail in middle, small map of area of Birmingham, Eng. that is, individual chocolates pictures and small rose stamp used. In upper left hand corner tiny wrapper for the dairy milk chocolate bar (miniature size) All you chocolate lovers would be so jealous if you saw this. What a great idea. Wish I could go and get these in the country of origin. Iceland; Designed by Lori Oliver & Yady Fonseca. I have several friends who have been to Iceland and thought it was great. I didn't know Puffins lived there also. Puffins, for those who do not know them, are black and white, short legged birds that are dressed like penguins. They have short wings and fat, short beaks. Cute birds you can be sure. Puffins are featured on this card both in the main section and as a postage stamp. The puffins is from Hero Arts. Ps frame is a postoid. Baby Puffin from Sabrina Sterling. Ala Art, stone path, saying, lighthouse from PSX. Ps puffin is facing front with just a turn to the left. Below that nearly in the middle are two more - one standing on a mound of rock looking very stern, off the left. Another one is facing front looking at same place. There is a great stone walkway, curving a bit with grass off to sides and in between some of rocks. Wonderful walkway. In upper left hand corner words Iceland off to right Wishing you were here. Below Iceland words is what looks like a Victorian building & lighthouse next to that - ocean wave to right. lighthouse and other building are on a rock island with grass under buildings. Shades of pinks, yellows, & blues are so subtle. Wonderful card and I wish I could shade like that. Card is 5" x 8". Nova Scotia: This has been described by someone else but I will do it again. Four separate sections, light and dark blue alternating on grey cs done by jdecker. Now, how did you know I would be doing a description of this and that I am from Bar Harbor, Me. where the Bluenose was based? For those who don't know, the Bluenose is a huge ferry ship for both vehicles and other goods and people. It ran from Bar Harbor, ME (and later Portland, ME) to Halifax, NS. Daily trip took 6 hrs. one way. It looks just like an ocean liner now. But, the original one was a schooner with several masts (5 or 6 I can't tell) and was a beautiful sight. Lower left hand section of dark blue is a starfish design (embossed with clear or a pearl ep), upper right hand corner is dark blue with seahorse done in silver ep. Upper left hand corner light blue cs. with sand dollars (not sure what ep is but looks yellow and blue comb.) and in lower right hand corner are sections of sand dunes with sea grasses . Across the corners of these is a grey, corrugated section cut in the shape of the Bluenose schooner. Image of the Bluenose is stamped onto this. It is in sail and all sails are open - awesome and makes me a bit homesick. Nova Scotia is a great place and hope to visit there. Never did as I was always working - but, who knows maybe one day. Thanks for letting me describe these cards - the whole set was awesome - have them on display here and the people who see them are absolutely speechless while looking through all of these. Through an incredibly bizarre coincidence, I just discovered that I live less than 40 miles from another list member! All this time! What happened is, I posted a message describing some catalogs I wanted to trade for stampin' stuff, and Lorri of Lorri's Lollys (yup, the chocolate lady!) was the first to respond. So we worked out a trade and I asked her for her address to send the catalogs to. As it turned out, she lives in the same town I work in! Is life amazing sometimes or WHAT? Anyway, we made our great "catalogs for chocolate" trade earlier this evening at my workplace, and I want to tell you all - if you have ANY possible way of getting ahold of some of Lorri's chocolate macadamia "thingies" (hey, Lorri, what are these called, anyway?) - you gotta do it! I'm in chocolate HEAVEN!!! Lorri herself is so fabulous - great sense of humor and cute as a button to boot! She brought me a couple samples of her stamping, which she thought weren't that great (we stampers are so silly and modest, aren't we?) and I liked it so much, I literally forced her to join my blue swap! LOL! (Yes, Lorri, you're still signed up and there's no getting out of it!) She came up with a really tactful way to describe those of us who are, um...less than petite - by using stamp sizes! Like someone Twiggy's size is an "A" stamp and someone Roseanne's size is like one of those big PSX K-size botanicals! I figured out I'm about a "G", and Lorri, though she didn't classify herself, looked about like a "D". LOL!!! Anyway, I'm so glad to have finally met another list member in person and wanted to shamelessly plug her awesome chocolates! She even brought some fudge-dipped chocolate chip cookies to keep the "piranhas" (my coworkers) from eating all the macadamia yummies! PS: Lorri, they weren't fooled. I ended up sharing 'em - mostly against my will - and everyone loved 'em! All right, enough embarrassing Lorri now...back to stamping! PS: Lorri, I promise I won't tell anyone you keep your baby in the trunk of your car in case you need to take him anywhere! LOL!!
