From: "Edith Steele" Subject: Re: UGAA Membership Accounting, etc. Date: 05 Aug 1999 09:04:04 -0600 Who is this person who thinks I'm stealing money from UGAA????? I have spent a lot of time and my own money working for UGAA and GA this past year, along with a lot of other people. His $25 dollars is a drop in the bucket compared to the time and money others have put in. We couldn't even get a little help from him without paying something. Of course our time isn't worth as much as has his. People like this person sit back and let everyone else do the work that will benefit him. If anyone thinks I am taking money from UGAA they can look at the accounts anytime they want. Or if you would like you can take over my job. This is not the place for this type of correspondence. If you have questions about accounting take it up with that person. How about an old time get to gether at Airport #2 or anyother place, Pot luck ect.so everyone can see how strong we really are. One of our members, Randy Brimhall, is working on just such a fly-in/get-together for #2. I've acquired a great new set of web site tools for use at work and they make site maintenance and updates about 1000% better than the old tools I've been using. For an example of a new site, you an see www.systronix.com (this is what has been keeping me off the street for the last week). So please send me your ideas and wishes for new areas or features. Some I would like are: 1) Fly-ins (the UGAA one coming up which Randy Brimhall is organizing) plus others in the area 2) For sale or wanted list 3) Partnerships and flying clubs wanted or available. This is rather self-serving since I'd like to find a partnership in an IFR 182 or similar, and a small tailwheel plane. I just sold Stinson 80M so am suffering major withdrawal pains. 4) mechanics and services, local CFIs, etc 5) related links such as flight schools, soaring schools, AOPA, other pilot organizations in the state and US, etc. Please email to info@ugaa.org with your suggestions or if you just email to me, please put "UGAA" somewhere in the subject so that my mail filter will sort your response into my UGAA folder. Thanks Bruce Boyes UGAA Webmaster P.S. In case anyone is wondering about UGAA website funding, (and also to sort of pat myself on the back in the process): The UGAA website Internic fees, software and maintenance, use of digital camera, etc is 100% funded by me personally, and my employer Systronix. The site space is donated by the good folks at Xmission (at least one of whom is a local pilot). UGAA does not pay anything to have or maintain the web site, or the email list, it's my contribution and that of my company Systronix. The new site software will enable me to make a better, more interesting and useful site and enable more frequent updates without increasing the time it takes to do all that.
