Subject: masada combos

i've seen Masada in quite a few different combibations.....
the first time i saw Masada, about 2 years ago...it was Marc Ribot-guitar,
Mark Dresser-bass, Ben Pertrowski-drums...other combos--Ribot, John
Medeski-organ, Billy Martin-drums---
Ben Goldberg-clarinet, T. Dunn-bass, K. Woleson-drums.
Dave Douglas-tpt., Joey Baron-drums, Greg Cohen-bass
D. Douglas, Kenny Woleson, M. Dresser.
last october i booked Masada at my school...SUNY New Paltz, in upstate NY.
it was Ribot, Douglas, Woleson, and Drew Gress on bass....Chris Wood was
supposed to play, but he was out on tour with M, M, and Wood...and NEVER
called Zorn...so the night before the gig Zorn called me and told me
this...i was freaking...as was Zorn...but the next morning he got Gress to
fill in, and he did a great job. so that was the first time i ever saw
Masada as a quintet. it was good show.
well...i mailed out my stuff for Daled, i sent the corners of those little
cards in the CD's..3 IRC coupons, and the info. 
i'll let you know if anything happens....wish me luck!!
i just remembered...i saw Chris Wood with Masada too...with Ribot, and i
think Woleson..if not it was B. Martin

oh...i have about 15 Masada charts....alot of the tunes are on the
CD's....anyone out there interested?? i'll trade for recordings of anything
interesting, Zorn or others....or if you have nothing to trade, i'll be glad
to send anyone music if they want.
