Good, but short. Probably just leftovers, a nice little bonus though & I'm sure it'll be a collector's item. Also, I didn't send any stamps or IRCs or whatever, just the corners from the wrappers and a nice letter saying how many DIW albums I've bought & how much I appreciate them putting out Zorn, Ulmer, etc. I am impressed that all of Masada 1,2, and 4, and some of 3 were recorded in one day. Damn, that's like 4 hours of music. Quite an achievement, like Miles' Cookin/Workin/Steamin/Relaxin session. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From proussel@ichips.intel.com Mon Jun 5 18:02:56 1995 Subject: Re: ZORN DIGEST #61 >Hello, >Im gonna buy Execution Ground by Painkiller but should I buy the import >one or the ordinary one???? >Jonas, >zoopsi@inet.uni-c.dk What import are you talking about? Harris actually Mick HArris ? Anyone know ? M.J. Harris is indeed Mick Harris of Napalm Death/Scorn/Lull/Painkiller. If you like _Somnific Flux_ you might want to check out the new Divination album, _Akasha_, which contains a very fine ambient track by Mr. Harris, as well as a bunch of Laswell stuff. Harris I'm not sure what the initials stand for, but M.J. Harris is a member of the band "Scorn" as is "N.J. Bullen" who is paired with Laswell on the Subsonic 2 disc on Sub Rosa. Mr Harris seems to be active on both sides of the Atlantic working with both Laswell and (in the one case where I have actually heard him - and I have yet to hear Scorn) on an Italian release entitled "Murder Ballads" with Martyn Bates (anyone remember Eyeless In Gaza?) which I kinda like. What I would like from the New York hipsters out there who know the schedule is a recomendation as to the day(s) which would be good to attend. I had sort of marked Thursday 22nd (Charles Gayle, Don Byron, Will Hooker, and Myra Melford) or maybe Friday 23 (Prima Materia); or sat 24 (David ware and Henry Thredgill) I've seen Mr. Gayle and David Ware, but am looking for recomendations as to who else would be worth seeing (as the point of this is to find out about people who you haven't heard.) Thanks muchly. ------ "Finally, something that would bring people together...even if it kept them apart, spatially." --A.
