Jeff writes back:

Giant Robot is not scheduled for US release at any time in the future.
Sony has apparently decided not to put it out.

My copy came from the HMV Megastore in Tokyo. There may be some copies
available at an outrageous price from Amoeba in Berkeley.

Buckethead is working on a new album with Brain as the drummer. I don't
know for a fact, but would guess, that Bootsy is on bass. Laswell is NOT
producing this one and I am not sure who is. Bootsy produced
Bucketheadland, but usually produces in his own studio (Bootzilla Studio),
and this is not being done there.

Thanks for the info Jeff. I think Buckethead is a tremendous talent with lots
of untapped potential. I know a somewhat famous musician who has recorded with
him. My contact says that he (Buckethead) is a bit eccentric and kinda weird.
Of course its all within the eyes of the beholder. Anyway, I was wondering why
he doesn't guest star or even record a little more within the mainstream. I'm
not saying he should join "Poison" or Megadeath.. Some of the stuff I've heard
(I'm talking solo projects) seems to be unfocused and downright silly. As if
he picked up the guitar and had no idea what he was about to do. Some would
call this improvisation..... The results don't always make sense. Just
curious.... I also heard from a distributor some time ago, that Sony was going
to sign him to a 6 figure record deal. Wondering if he went against the grain
and so on.....

Subject: Deli Creeps demo

Hey there--

If anybody has a reasonably good copy of the Deli Creeps demo, I
have over 150 hours of live music including Naked City, Mr. Bungle, Faith
No More, etc. to trade. Drop me a line!

Buckethead also might be doing the music to the upcoming Mortal Kombat
movie.

do you happen to know what the date was or what could be distinguishable
about the show to maybe find out if it is was recorded and accessible in
some way?
