Interview with Zorn in William Duckworth's new book. 2. I just got a press release for a new Laswell label. (Yes, another one.) It's called Meta and it "explores new directions in recorded spoken word." First three releases are Paul Bowles' "Baptism of Solitude", William Burroughs' "Seven Souls" (remixed "in a funk/club setting") and "The Assassins" an anthology on that subject. Meta is distributed by Caroline Records. I don't have more specific release dates. I've heard Dresser perform in the past and he's brilliant - I would love to hear what others think of the three of them together. -- Vinay ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From rizzi@TFS.COM Tue Jul 25 18:18:44 1995 Subject: Re: books by zorn jonf@thor.ats.qc.ca sez: > >I am wondering if Zorn has written/co-written any interesting books, or >if he has published any magazine articles. >Also, I'd be interested to know of any good interivews or other articles >which have been written about Zorn (other than the Ugly Beauty article >which is fabulous). Brief plug time: My zine, browbeat, has an interview with Zorn from 1990. I'm down to the last 50 copies (out of a 1200 print run). See my web page for ordering details (or email me privately --I detest NetAdvertising) The upcoming issue will have an interview of Ennio Morricone by Zorn. I'm hoping for a September publishing date...but everyone knows how lame zine people are about deadlines. >If you have anything available that already in >a text file, feel free to send it to my email address below.
