This would probably be classic 80s pop show "the Tube", which credited Poppy for theme music (at least for 1 of the tunes it used over the years)... ZTT said at the time it would never be released, and I have never heard of any acetates escaping from ZTT until now. - - andy R. # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Email majordomo@xmission.com with "info ztt" in the message. # Postings must go to ztt@xmission.com -- replies go to original sender. # ZTT discography available at http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?ztt ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 09 Mar 1998 21:44:20 -0500 From: Dave Subject: (ztt) Holly Johnson Thanks to all who sent in questions. I think I covered all of them, all apologies if I did not. I am editing the interview, which is great thanks to the charming (and verbose!) Mr. Johnson. As just a peak- about working again with Trevor Horn- He says he would for sure, but doubts (for obvious reasons ) that the opportunity would arise. There is a new Warp single out that has a sample of Andrew Poppy's "The Object is a Hungry Wolf". The sample is from near the beginning of the second index marking off of the original issue (did the reissue retain the index marking for the first track?). The sample is lightly in the background near the end. TUNDRA, Max: Children At Play (Warp 12": WAP 101 [4.33]. CD: WAP 101CD [4.33]) Vital ZTT, start your lawyers! Sorry Warp :(. So I was happy to see Darren Partington sitting on the sofa when turning on MTV's Partyzone on Friday (well, Saturday actually). Unfortunately I had already missed nearly the complete show, but it gave a good reason to surf to WWW.808STATE.COM just now... ...to find out it wasn't that quite all the time and that none other label than zet tee tea is planning to release a new (remix) single and a Best-Of album of them! (And I thought they had split!) Hey, you should have given us a hint, GlobalState...! ;-) At least before the Partyzone show. What news did Daz tell on the show? However, I've been told they didn't show a video for Pacific 98. Cheers Joerg P.S.: Is it really true? DAZ didn't tell anything about the release other than that they do it to close a chapter of 808 State to start a new one. The CD will have some remixes on. He said that they will release some new singles over the summer and maybe an album at the end of 1998.
