If it's the latter, is it taken straight from the LP or is it rid of the ambient segues ? I've just seen several of the new Uni versions of ZTT stuff, and have to say that every one of the CDs I saw looked shoddy beyond belief. Uni apparently didn't shoot the new booklets or back cards from the original film, because the reproduction is terrible. (808 State's "Gorgeous" has to be the worst -- really blurry.) Promo copies of four Frankie CDs, "Gorgeous," and Propaganda's "Disturbdances" all were at a used-CD store near me (Heavy Rotation on Ventura Blvd. in Studio City, CA, if anyone is interested). Because the CDs weren't shrink-wrapped, I was able to check out the interiors of the booklets. Many photos had "moire" patterns (the screened look of a bad reproduction). In general, every piece of art and type looked as if it had been reproduced via a very bad computer scanner. I have no idea if the sound quality of the CDs themselves is any better/worse than previous editions. (Can anyone help me out here?) But if the packaging is any indication, this reissue campaign is a real insult. - --James Dawson av578@lafn.org # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info ztt" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email ztt@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # ZTT discography available at http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?ztt ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 20 Oct 1998 11:30:06 -0400 From: MIKE_REARDON@HP-Andover-om3.om.hp.com Subject: (ztt) Propaganda/Brucken videos Hello everyone; I'm trying to locate a copy of the homemade Propaganda/Act/Brucken video that was offered on the list a couple of years ago.
