Only have "The Club Mixes 2000" myself (N&K Dub mix here). But from folks who should know, I got informed that: * UK "Maximum Joy" has the (more vocals) N&K Mix * German "Maximum Joy" has the (less vocals) N&K Dub mix (German MaxJoy has different tracklist anyway.) BTW: On "The Club Mixes 2000" the Rob Searle Club mix of Two Tribes is also actually the Dub version. # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info ztt" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email ztt@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # ZTT discography available at http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?ztt ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Nov 2000 00:58:49 EST From: Zteven@aol.com Subject: Re: (ztt) Claudia Brucken live with Paul Humphreys... I got to attend both OMD/Claudia Br=FCcken shows in Chicago recently and, al= ong=20 with Michael, Brian and Michael from this list, was fortunate enough to meet= =20 and speak with Claudia after both shows. She was amazingly friendly and=20 talkative. There's no way I could say enough good things about her!=20 Regarding the new Propaganda album, she said "the material is all there," an= d=20 that the hold-up has been finding a label/contract that is interested, fair,= =20 and will do the album justice. Believe me, she (and Michael and Suzanne) wan= t=20 the album released as badly as we do. (And we stressed how badly we want it!= =20 haha). The new Propaganda song she performed in the show is called "Cloud 9" and it= =20 is the song she co-wrote with Martin Gore. She said she would like to write=20 more with him, and that it was the first time Martin had co-written with=20 somebody outside Depeche Mode. I thought the song was great. Very moody and=20 slinky sounding. The other new songs she did were called "Anonymous" and "Gone For Good"=20 (which contains the line "Am I just having a bad day, or is this the rest of= =20 my life"). They were great, and "Very Claudia" sounding as well. She said=20 that she and Paul Humphreys are also recording together and that these two=20 songs may be released under their project (which doesn't have a name yet).=20 ..And the David Bowie cover song was great. "This Is Not America" (from "The= =20 Falcon and the Snowman") is a bonus track on the reissue of his "Tonight"=20 album, and I swear even listening to the original, it sounds like it was mad= e=20 for Claudia to sing. She said that she and Andrew Poppy are also working together, recording very= =20 different sounding covers of songs ("Running Up That Hill" being one) with=20 just Andrew on piano and her on vocals. She stressed that this project wasn'= t=20 a commercial endeavor, but that it might be a web release eventually. (!) Basically, Claudia seemed very excited and inspired to get back seriously=20 into music. And she looks better than she ever has --which I know seems=20 impossible! And she still lives in London. Also -- yes, the venue (and crowd) makes all the difference! On the first=20 night, the space and crowd "just wasn't right" but the following night was=20 perfect. zteven PS-- Oh, and I believe Paul Morley designed the OMD Revisited tour shirts=20 which features a picture of Paul Humphreys and says "I am not Paul Humphreys= =20 and I have never been in the pop group OMD." :-) In a message dated 11/12/00 3:47:16 AM, mwasiel@pacbell.net writes: << Well, I lucked out. After missing the sold out Paul Humphreys (OMD Revisited) show at the Key Club in Hollywood a month or two ago, I thought my chances of seeing Claudia Brucken from Propaganda in the flesh were next to none. Imagine my surprise when reading a local newspaper there is an ad for Paul Humphreys playing again but at Hollywood Park (the big horse racing track in Los Angeles) and for only $2 (with coupon). Too good to be true especially with $1 beer & hot dogs. Yum! :) Anyway, the show was pretty good. Here are some things I wrote down that I thought people here might be interested in. Claudia sang Woman 3 (from OMD's Crush) , This is Not America (from a forthcoming David Bowie tribute album) and Jewel as well as share vocals on many others.... One other song was a rejected tune that Paul did for Andy for the last OMD album and another one a song he wrote for another group but didn't send to them. Also, Claudia did a new Propaganda song. Don't know how to describe it...it sounded okay. Not really Propaganda-ish...kind of adult contemporary but punctuated with that twangy Depeche Mode guitar sound. Was this the song martin Gore wrote? I'm not so sure... She did this annoying "sha-la-la-la" at the beginning and end which seemed really cheezy. Overall, not bad. a $2 crowd at the race tracks is not especially the kindest and they didn't really approve of the "new" tracks. They just kept yelling out all of the songs that Paul didn't sing on (he mostly sang the ballad-y OMD trackings (Souvenir, Secret, etc). Sound quality was fair but not great. Under the bleachers at a race track are not really the greatest accoustics. Does Claudia live in L.A. now also along with Paul? I can't imagine she flew in from out of town to play at the race track. Something might be on Napster (Jewel live?) because Andy complained about it being on Napster and told everyone not to use it (which the audience boo'ed him for). Was he really serious? He said it was ruining music. ;p Mark >> # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info ztt" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email ztt@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # ZTT discography available at http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?ztt ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 9 Nov 2000 11:17:56 -0000 From: Ian Peel Subject: (ztt) other zang info new andrew poppy album out on source research... sealedmedia.com promo CDs circulating with exclusive tracks from thomas leer and andrew poppy... just when is that art of noise dvd coming out?! - -- Ian Peel http://www.ianpeel.com This e-mail has been virus checked by 'Knowledge Checker' http://www.imhotek.com # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info ztt" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email ztt@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # ZTT discography available at http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?ztt ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 15 Nov 2000 16:42:37 +0100 From: "Hirschberger Karl" Subject: (ztt) FA: ACT & Propaganda Hi all, i have 2 items for auction: 12" Propaganda - A secret wish (Israel pressing) http://cgi.ebay.de/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3D499788535 12" Act - Immune II http://cgi.ebay.de/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3D499801388 bye Karl # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info ztt" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email ztt@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # ZTT discography available at http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?ztt ------------------------------ End of ztt-digest V2 #193 *************************
