Yes that was him. He was captioned as "Writer and Broadcaster"- no mention of being a band frontman. He had some insightful if typically overenthusiastic stuff to say, I thought. (When "Firestarter" got to number one, that was a reminder of how fun pop music was supposed to be, but the big companies don't like that and as a result we have Westlife.) He was also on "100 TV moments from Hell" the previous week commenting on John Lydon's appearance on Juke Box Jury. Nice to see a lot of Trevor Horn as well. He was vigourously defending "Relax" as non-rude, saying something like "If this song were just about the delaying of ejaculation in gay sex, that would be really saaaad...".
